This interview experience is being shared on behalf of a friend.

The Mercedes-Benz R&D hiring process consists of three rounds: a Written Test, a Technical interview, and a Managerial interview.

Round 1 Online Written Test – There were a total of 40 questions in the Written Exam (20 aptitude, 5 verbal, and 15 technical). The majority of the technical questions focused on the fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering subjects such as SOM, TOM, Machine Design, thermodynamics, etc.

This round lasted for sixty minutes.

 Round 2 Technical Interview – The technical interview began with a brief introduction of the candidate. Then, he was questioned about his M.Tech major project and B.Tech project. The majority of questions were based on his resume.

The interviewer then asked him questions about automotive engineering, such as:

  • Different types of automotive suspension systems?
  • What suspension system parameters influence the ride and handling characteristics of a vehicle?
  • some questions related to Electric vehicle

This round will last for 30 minutes.

 Round 3 Managerial Interview – The interview began with the interviewer describing the Job profile, followed by his introduction and Mtech project. Later, an interviewer asked some generic questions like: 

  • Why do you wish to join MBRDI?
  • How do you see the automotive industry’s future?
  • Why do you think you are qualified for this position?
  • In the next five years, where do you see yourself?

The Interviewer then asked if the candidate had any questions about the company.

This round continues for approximately 30 minutes.

 General Tips: Review your resume and ensure that you are familiar with all terms that you have included. Be confident and genuine when responding to interview questions.
