JMAN Group Interview Experience (On-Campus)

JMAN visited our campus to recruit Software Engineers for their Chennai Office. There were a total of 5 rounds held over 2 days.

So let’s go through the rounds one by one.

DAY 1

ROUND 1:-

  • Test time – 30 mins. Total 20 questions
  • Topics – 10 q on Logical and Quantitative Aptitude and 10 q on Pseudocodes.
  • Difficulty – Easy. The Aptitude questions were from common topics like clocks, work, time speed, etc. The pseudocodes were from many languages – JAVA, C, C++, JS, and Python.
  • Suggestions – Just solve aptitude from one recommended site / book like RS Agarwal. Pseudocode can be also solved from any site like GFG.
  • Out of 350, 60 people were selected for round 2.

ROUND 2:-

  • Test time – 1.5 hours. Total 8 questions.
  • Topics – 4 q on DSA . 4 on sql.
  • Difficulty – 1 DSA question was easy (It was the last 2 characters on a string ) . 2 were medium ( One was on HashMap, one on Maths). One was hard (had to write a binary number ). 2 SQL questions were easy, 1 was medium, and 1 was hard.
  • Suggestions – just solve DSA questions from any platform and practice SQL.
  • Out of 60 people, 20 were selected for the next day.

DAY 2

TECHNICAL ROUND 1:-

  • 1 question was asked on dsa (to be coded ). The question was the character frequency count of the String.
  • 1 SQL query was asked to be written (using subquery or JOINS).
  • Some more random questions were asked like Introduce yourself, etc.
  • The interview was of 30 minutes.
  • Suggestion – just be confident with your resume and what you tell the interviewer.
  • 13 people were selected here.

TECHNICAL ROUND 2:-

  • 1 question was asked on the pattern to be printed(to be coded ).
  • SQL question – What are JOINS? What are the different types of JOINS?
  • What is AWS and for what it is used?
  • The interview lasted for 30 minutes.
  • Suggestion – Try to brush up on your DBMS and SQL concepts before the interview.
  • 9 people were selected here.

HR ROUND:-

  • Initially, we were asked to introduce ourselves.
  • Then, a GD-type discussion was held.
  • Problem statement – Farmers are migrating to other faraway states as construction laborers. This increases their chances of exploitation. This also reduces the number of farmers that the landowners can employ to farm their land. Solve this.
  • The group was asked to come up with an idea to create an application to solve the problem.
  • Suggestion – try to speak confidently and take part in the GD.
  • All 9 were selected here.

VERDICT:- SELECTED.
