In Time Tec Recruitment Process:

Nomination Criteria:

  • Announcement Date: August 19, 2023.
  • Examination Mode: Offline.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electronics and Communication, and Electrical Engineering
  2. MCA & M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, and Electrical Engineering
  3. Zero backlog.

Roles Offered: Trainee (After 7th Semester) and Junior Software Engineer (After 8th Semester).

Internship Period: Starting from the 7th semester for 6 months, followed by a full-time role based on performance.

The company came in physical mode on 24 August 2023.

Selection Process:

Total number of students: 200-250.

First Round – Online Test (Aptitude & Technical)

  • 60 problems to solve within 1 hour.
  • Aptitude level: Easy to medium.
  • Aptitude topics included ratio and proportion, probability, boat and stream, and work and time.
  • Technical level: Medium.
  • Technical questions covered various subjects of B.Tech and were somewhat challenging.

Approximately 80-100 students were selected.

Second Round – Programming Test:

  • Held immediately after the first round.
  • One programming question with a 45-minute time limit.
  • The question was on an easy level (e.g., calculating profit).

Approximately 30-40 students were selected.

Technical Interviews:

  • Conducted on the same day.
  • Interviews lasted 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • Started with easy questions, followed by programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) questions.
  • The interviewer gradually increased the difficulty of the questions.
  • Java-related easy-medium questions were asked, followed by a programming question where I had to explain my approach, and thought process, write the code, and perform a dry run.
  • Questions on OOP concepts, including encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism.
  • A real-life problem-solving scenario was presented to implement a system for data processing using OOP concepts – I first said we could write a different function to implement this, then the interviewer was not satisfied, then after some time I said we could use polymorphism. He was satisfied and told me to implement the approach and explain.

Some candidates had only one technical interview, while others had two technical interviews, and all were informed of their selection for the HR round.

HR Round:

  • A 40-minute round that included a mix of technical and behavioral questions.
  • He asked me – “Is Java Pass-By-Reference or Pass-By-Value?” When I was made to explain my answer, the interviewer corrected me. Explain how objects are called, their memory allocations, etc
  • Then he asked me – Why do you want to join, Why not other companies, and so on.

On the same day, I with two students was selected.

Some students had one technical round and one HR round, while others had two technical rounds and one HR round.

The remaining students had their second technical and HR rounds the next day.

By the end of the process, a total of 8 students were selected.
