I applied through college “St. Thomas’ College of Engineering and Technology, Kolkata”. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Incture Technologies in September 2023.

Eligibility criteria: 65% throughout (criteria may vary from college to college)

Branches: CSE/ECE/IT/EE

In my college 187 students (including me) were eligible for 1st round.

4 rounds were there:

  1. Online test(3 section on aptitude and 1 section on 3 coding questions)
  2. Design test(Design using flowcharts and diagrams on UI/UX)
  3. Tech Interview(Questions based on a resume)
  4. HR interview(Similar to other companies)

Round 1: [Online Assessment]

The online test has 4 sections. Each section was easy. coding questions is very easy.

  • 7 quantitative aptitude questions(15 minute)
  • 7 logical questions(15 minute)
  • 7 verbal questions(15 minute)
  • 3 coding problems (available language only c, c++, Java, JS): All 3 are full coding problems (not functional) 45-minute
  1. Missing element in an array.
  2. Given three employees and their salary and expenditure calculate and show the sum of their savings.
  3. Calculate the marks of students and show their marks according to grades.

Round 2: [System Design]

This round is very important to round for technical and HR. This round has 2 questions on system design (This round is just to check that are you a problem solver in real life don’t study anything extra just focus on the diagram and flowchart a little bit and you are good to go.

  • Design a parking lot system for an office in which employees are coming in different shifts.
  • Design a system that could help the farmer increase their productivity by selling their products at good prices online.

In this round 22 students(including me) were selected out of 187 students.

Students choose only one and answer one single page based on 4 points: (not in essay format write bullet/numbers or steps)

  1. Problem solution
  2. Flowchart of problem solution.
  3. Steps of solution
  4. Summary

Round 3: [Technical round]

This round was held based on a Design round. if your design round is going well then you will be selected after some easy (resume-based) questions.

  1. Tell me something about yourself.
  2. Which language you know.(I knew C++, java,,Javascript)
  3. He asked 2-3 questions in React (As I had it in my Resume)
  4. Questions on the Dijkstra Algorithm as I used it in the Design problem.
  5. Project discussion
  6. Question on Asynchronous Javascript.
  7. Questions on API as I had a News App in my project.
  8. Basic Questions on Coding Languages which I wrote in my resume.

Tip from my side: When interviewer asks that do you have a question for me. Just say “Thank you sir I don’t have any questions at this point in time” In my last interview when I asked a question I was rejected. Why so? Because in that tense situation, you won’t be getting good questions in your head and if you ask anything irrelevant then that would be a red flag.

8 students (including me) were selected out of 22.

Round 4: HR round

  1. Are you ready to reallocate?
  2. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  3. Hobbies/interests.
  4. Are you ready to work under pressure?
  5. What are your plans?
  6. Family background.
  7. Why do you want to join this company?
  8. What did you like about our organization that differentiates it from other organizations?

Tips:– Know yourself before any interview don’t even try to tell lies as the interviewer is smarter than you. Be calm & answer politely.

If you have given any interview in the past in which you were rejected just forget it completely and focus on the current one this helped me a lot hope this is going to work for you too.

Verdict: Selected

4 from CSE + 1 from IT + 1 from ECE.

All the best keep grinding!
