GyanSys visited our campus for intern and FTE roles for freshers in October 2023. There was a total of 2 rounds namely the Online test and the Technical + HR round.

Round 1: Online Test

The online test consisted of 7 sections namely Cognitive Ability, OOPS, Operating Systems, DBMS, Computer Networks, DSA, and Coding section. It consisted of 60 MCQs and 1 coding question in total. Since the level of difficulty was of moderate level, therefore try to solve a maximum number of ques as possible and try to be quick. The time duration was 90 minutes.

The cognitive ability section was for 30 minutes and the rest of the sections including the coding section were for 60 minutes.

Suggestions: Practice aptitude from GeeksforGeeks and Indiabix, and try taking aptitude tests to increase your speed.

Round 2: Technical + HR Round

The interview panel consisted of three members including HR. The duration of this round was about 30 minutes. The interviewer basically tested my Java knowledge and asked questions related to my resume. My interviewers were cool guys and I enjoyed my round.

Some of the questions were:

Some of the questions asked by HR were:

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • Where do you want to see yourself in the next 5 years?
  • What are your strengths and weakness?
  • How do you overcome your weakness?
  • What do you know about our company?
  • If your team member is not working, what you will do?
  • How do you handle the pressure?
  • What if we assign you a project which is not relevant to your skills?

Basically, HR just confirmed the hiring and location.

Tips: Prepare DSA, DBMS and OS well. Prepare puzzles too. Be confident and don’t be nervous. Keep a smile on your face every time. Remember apart from coding skills, communication skills also matter to a large extent. I was asked one among the top 10 puzzles of Geeks forGeeks.

Finally, out of 145 attendees, 28 were shortlisted after the online test and 13 were shortlisted after the final round. After a day offer letter was sent to all the selected candidates.

Thanks for reading.
