Google is working on completely changing the way you search! Now your Google Search box will have an AI integration making your searches much more productive and convenient.

Google's AI-Powered Search Makeover to Counter Microsoft's New Bing

With new Google announcements, billions of people are waiting to know about the new makeover that Google has to present. This change is being made to counter Bing, which was announced by Microsoft very recently.

What Can You Expect?

With artificial intelligence officially making an impact, Google has also joined the new era. AI will power the new Google search and have a completely different look. Since the mockery by Microsoft CEO during its official launch of the new Bing, all eyes have been on Google’s response.

Bing made this change to rule over the search engine that had dominated worldwide. But look’s like it won’t be for long, as Google has announced a new search tool that will be AI-powered. This announcement was made during Google’s annual event.

Changes during Search

If there is an AI integration, one can expect information to be shown differently. Until now, the user had to type in their query in the search box, and a glossary of links leading to the most relevant information would appear on different pages.

In the Google I/O event, Cathy Edwards (who was presenting) informed the viewers that Google’s new AI-powered search would carry the heavy load of searching for us, the user. There’s also additional information that Google’s search will be more on the visual aspect. This approach might come with a lot of advancements.

All the SEO experts will now look for new updates and news by Google search console.

What will happen to the Current Links/Pages?

No changes have been announced to the current links or web pages. But with the search, AI will show concise information related to the user’s search. The links will be displayed if the user wants to dig deeper or further study the topic.

Edwards even showed a demo live during the event. She gave an input search, “Why do whales like to sing”. Right now this is how it looks:

But in the LIVE demo by Cathy, AI search, a set of pointers showed up along with the links when scrolled down.

Currently, the new Google search is not available to the general public. The debut date has yet to be announced.
