According to a recent blog post by Microsoft, Bing is getting new features, including videos, information cards, enhanced formatting, graphs, and social sharing options. These improvements will be available on desktop and mobile devices.

Microsoft’s Bing search engine has crossed the 100 million daily active user milestone just a few weeks after the software giant introduced its AI-powered Bing Chat feature. Despite a modest growth in usage over the past few years, it appears that Microsoft is seeing an increase in usage among people who have never used Bing before thanks to the new Bing Chat feature.

Users of Android and Apple devices will be able to ask inquiries by text or voice and receive prompt answers by adding the Bing AI widget and a microphone icon to their home screens.

You may now discuss with the AI chatbot in the Bing app for mobile and desktop simultaneously. However, users will still need to scan a QR code to advance the conversation; it won’t be automatic.

Contextual chat will soon be available on Microsoft Edge Mobile. As a result, users will be able to interact with website content via Bing Chat. Once complete, Bing will allow you to quickly summarise the information and ask questions about it. Contextual chat should make life much simpler on mobile once it becomes available through a convenient button.

Users can also ask questions about the page they are viewing or request that the Bing Chat button at the bottom of Edge be used to summarise any articles or documents that are being read.

Additionally, it is said that the company would be integrating SwiftKey with the Compose feature from the Edge sidebar, which enables users to enter text and customize options like message tone, length, and format. This announcement follows reports that Google is developing its own Bard widget. Google’s widget, on the other hand, is thought to be unique to Pixels, unlike Microsoft’s widget.

According to a blog post from Microsoft, users of iOS and Android devices will have access to a widget that can be pinned to their home screen for quick access to Bing Chat.

“Soon, you’ll be able to click the Bing icon to land directly in the new Bing Chat experience or click the microphone icon to ask a question verbally”, Microsoft stated. This week, it will be made available on iOS and Android.

Bing Chat is now available in group chats on Skype. The chatbot is going to respond to questions and chats if you still use Skype by simply adding the @Bing to a conversation.

Microsoft claims that as part of the development of the Bing Chat AI, it has enhanced the caliber of non-English discussions and expanded the number of countries and languages supported for voice input.
