GeeksforGeeks Interview Experience For Technical Content Engineer Intern

In this article, I am going to share my interview experience for the Technical Content Engineer Intern role at GeeksforGeeks.

Telephonic Round

This is the phonic interview round when HR from GeeksforGeeks called me and explained to me the roles, requirements, and policies for the interview, like if I am selected, I have to join the Noida office, and I should have an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from my college.

Then she asked me if I was interested or not. If I am interested, she will schedule an interview in online mode, where the interviewer will be from their technical department. Then I said, “Yes, I am interested.” Then she asked me for my LinkedIn profile link and resume to share. I shared these details on her mail account, and in reply, they emailed me with a Google Meet one day after the call.

Primary Round

This round was conducted one day after the telephonic round, in which they asked questions about coding and development. This round lasted around an hour, and they were asked, medium-level questions in this round and some advanced-level questions in the domain of web development.

In one of the questions he was asked, he gave me an array and told me to sort it by using the arr. sort() method of JavaScript. There were 4 questions around which I was unable to answer, but still, I was looking confident, which shows that I can learn them later.

At the end of the interview, when I asked about the result, he told me that HR would tell me what the result was, I thought that I am rejected because I could not answer, but HR texted me In one Congratulations! You cleared the primary round of interviews, and now we are scheduling your advanced round for tomorrow with the technical team lead.

Advance Round

This round was completed in under 30 minutes, and was taken by team lead Mr. Sabyasachi Samadder, who was very humble and supportive. He first asked me those questions, which I was unable to answer in the last round, and I already prepared those questions because I was hoping that they could ask them again.

At the end of the round, similarly, he told me that HR would call me back about the interview result. HR called me and told me Congratulations! You cleared this round too. Now she is asking about my availability for the HR round, and I told her to do it the same day.

She scheduled my HR round with HR for the same day.

HR Round

This is the last round, which is taken by senior HR Mr. Manikant. He asked me about my expectations towards GFG and explained to me about roles and responsibilities for this profile, as well as the rules and regulations of the organization. Then he started explaining to me about the stipend. He told me about the stipend and all other components of working at GFG, like that they have just a 5-day week and they provide food at their office premises for free. At the end, he asked if you agreed with these terms.

I said yes, and he sent me a letter with an offer letter and a specific date to join in Noida.
