Rakuten India Interview Experience for Technical Intern

Hey guys, I recently interviewed for the Technical intern position at Rakuten. The entire process was virtual due to the ongoing pandemic situation and comprised of 1 Online Test and 2 F2F interviews and Hr round. Following were the interview questions:

Online Test (4 Coding Questions and 31 MCQ):

• Game Fifteen.
• Sum Calculation
• Stack it.
• Square root.

And MCQ question on Computer Science Fundamentals.

Technical Interview 1 (25 mins): The first F2F interview was a DSA round. Initial 5 mins went in the introduction. Then he asked basic from my Resume like from JavaScript I have written, and then he asks one coding question.

• Efficiently merging two sorted arrays with O(1) extra space

And then he asks for some SQL Query.

Technical Interview 2 (25 mins): The second F2F interview was a DSA round. Initial 5 mins went in the introduction. Then he asked basic from my Resume like my projects, and then he asks one coding question.

• Find the Missing Number

And then he asks for some SQL Query like find 2nd highest salary and others.

HR Round (20 mins): Basic questions in Hr Round.

Verdict: I was selected and was offered the internship for a period of 5 months starting January 25th. It was one of the smoothest interview experiences I’ve had, and I am thankful to Rakuten for the same.
