Fiserv’s Campus recruitment process in my college had 4 stages:

  1. Shortlisting
  2. Online Assessment
  3. Technical Round
  4. Managerial Round

SHORTLISTING:

This round was based on these criteria: a. 60%> in 10th and 12th/diploma b. 80% (or 8.0 CGPA)> in B.tech (CS, IT only).

A total of 151 students were shortlisted.

Online Assessment Round:

The assessment was held on the hackerrank platform. It was a 60-minute round consisting of 5 MCQs of CS FUNDAMENTALS including DSA, CN, OS, and DBMS and 2 coding questions of medium- difficult level.

31 students were selected for the next round.

Technical Round:

The interview was scheduled for half an hour. It started with an introduction and moved into SQL questions. Firstly, they asked about some basic concepts and differences and then gave me two simple tables to perform operations with.
They gave two to three SQL queries to write including topics like JOIN, using GROUP BY clause, and ORDER BY.
After this, I was asked some more basics about SQL and DBMS.

Further, they moved towards DSA questions. I was expecting coding questions as the previously interviewed person was asked to write code, but to my surprise, they asked me 7 to 10 easy – medium questions (no coding).

As I mentioned Python and ML-related projects in my resume, they further asked me questions related to Python libraries, machine learning algorithms, datasets that I’ve worked with, types of databases etc.
The technical round ended with a question from my side.

Only 10 students got the chance to give this round.
8 students were selected for the next round.

Managerial Round:

This round was scheduled five days after my technical round. It started with my introduction and quickly moved on to the projects I’ve mentioned in my resume. There were questions about the tech stack used in my projects, databases, etc. Further on, they asked me a situational-based question. It was like this:

“If I am in charge of a database and suddenly, the database doesn’t refresh or shows data from the previous day, I am answerable to my team, manager, and stakeholders. What will I do in that situation?”

After the interviewer was satisfied with my answer, they moved again towards my resume and asked me several questions regarding my skills, and if I’ve worked with XYZ technologies or not. The round ended with two to three HR questions (locations, type of work I’d like to do, etc.)

This round went pretty smoothly and lasted about 25 minutes. They were also kind enough to explain to me about their team, the kind of work they do, and the further process.

We still await the results.

Pro Tip for interviews: Research your interviewers as it helps you to estimate the type of questions they’d ask.

That’s all about Fiserv’s Campus Recruitment Process.

ALL THE BEST!
