Fidelity International visited our college in October 2023 offering us the role of Graduate Programmer. I cleared the process and was offered a job for the same role.

Here is my experience.

There were 3 rounds for the on-campus recruitment drive.

First Round – Online test

It contained 3 sections – 1. Aptitude + Reasoning, 2. Coding Question and 3. Technical Questions.

  • Aptitude Section was easy. Most of the students were able to solve the maximum number of questions in this section.
  • The coding Question was from easy to medium level. It was different for every student.
  • Technical Questions were comparatively hard. It contained questions from DSA, DBMS, Git, Operating Systems, Networking etc.

A total of 14 out of around 100 students were selected.

Tip – Go through the core subjects mentioned above.

Second Round – Technical Interview

The interview began with the introduction. Then the interviewer asked me to share the screen and open any code editor with which I was familiar. Then he asked me to write a code for the Fibonacci Series. He asked me to print the series in reverse order. Then he asked me to do the same using recursion.

After this much of coding, he asked me about my training experience. The training he was mentioning is of AWS. He asked some questions related to it like – Regions, Zones, VPCs, Security Groups, Lambda etc.

Then he asked me to explain my project and there were some questions during the explanation. He asked some basic questions from the MERN stack like what is a NoSQL Database, what is react etc. He asked me about the POSTMAN app.

He asked me to create a simple web page using HTML in which I had to show an image. Then he asked me to write some SQL queries.

The interviewer was very nice and supportive he was helping me out wherever I was getting stuck.

A total of 5 out of 14 were selected for the next round.

Tip – Go through your resume nicely. Go through your projects. Don’t bluff with your skills, if you don’t know something just say that I am not in touch with this topic currently. Go through SQL and DSA.

Third Round – HR Interview

The interviewer introduced herself and then she asked for my introduction. Then based on my introduction and resume there were questions like how can you say that you are a good logical thinker and problem solver?

Then she asked me, how I can prove that you are a good team player – with any example or incident of my life. Then she asked me if I had any higher studies plan. Then she gave me some words like – Integrity, Compassion, Trust, Curious, Brave, Bold etc. and said, “These are some words that represent the values of our company out of these how many words do you think you can connect to? And how?”.

Then, she asked me to explain any one project myself and the problems that I faced during that project and how I overcame them.

Then, she asked me where I see myself in the upcoming 4-5 years and why I want to join Fidelity.

A total of 3 out 5 were selected in this round.

Tip: Be confident, smile and be polite while answering. Go through the website of the company. Learn a few things about the company.

Best of Luck!
