Role – Software Developer Intern

It was On-campus recruitment, and the eligibility criteria were 70% above in SSLC/Diploma. The Eligibility departments were CSE, ECE, IT, and AI/DS. 450 students(approx.) have applied for the recruitment process.

Round – 1: As Expected, the first round was MCQ round. There were a total of 5 sections. The five sections are:

  • Analytical and Reasoning
  • Quants
  • Machine Learning and Data Science
  • Python technical questions
  • Critical Thinking

Each section has 30 to 40 questions. But the constraint was the total duration of this round is 2hrs. The questions level was from easy to medium. I followed geeks for geeks, indiabix, and the prepinsta platform for the preparation and I suggest you do the same.

Tips – The important thing is time management, if you don’t know the answer, please move on. There are many easy questions that have been waiting in the queue.

Round – 2: From 450 students, 15 students were selected for the next round. This round is Project Task Submission round. The tasks are front-end and back-end development. All 15 of them were given random projects (either of the two). The deadline is 24hrs.

The Backend project is similar to developing an API-like thing for Twitter. The three main tasks given are, the user must be able to tweet an post, see all other posts and only the user who posted that post can able to delete it. I submitted the project in time.

Tips – Make sure to submit the project in-time.

Round – 3: As most of you expected, yeah it is a Technical Interview. 12 of 15 were selected for the technical interview.

It is a virtual interview, and I joined the interview prior to 2 minutes. The interview started with describing myself. Then it moved to technical questions. As I am given the backend project, most of the questions were from the backend.

I have listed some of the similar questions that were asked.

  • Backend languages
  • PHP
  • How HTML was linked with PHP
  • HttpRequest
  • Docker
  • MySQL and MongoDB
  • Cloud-related platforms
  • Union vs UnionAll

Front End

  •  What is the use state?
  •  What is useEffect? How does the dependency array work in useEffect?
  • Difference between setTimeout and setInterval.
  • What is state management?
  • Do you know about NextJS?
  • Difference between LocalStorage and SessionStorage.
  • What is getElementById, addEventListener, etc?
  • Open the developer console, and explain what all the tabs in it do.

Common Questions

  • The explanation for projects in the resume
  • Compiler vs Interpreter
  • Static vs Dynamic Typed Language

Coding Section:  3 to 4 questions have been asked depending on the HR. The questions were easy. Anyone with good programming knowledge can crack it easily.

I have attached some similar Questions here:

Tips –  You should know each and every word of your Resume.

Round – 4: Of 12 of them, 6 of them were selected for the Final Interview, which is also a technical cum general round. But this time, instead of within the campus, students from all over the state were been combined for the final interview. For, I have been competing with 4 students, from other universities.

It is also a virtual interview. It started with an introduction and technical questions. Two basic questions were been asked by the HR, and each of them was given chance to give their answers. The questions were based on Time complexity and understanding of conditional Statements.

Bonus Tips – In both the technical rounds, the HR was so cool, he made me feel comfortable. Some HR’s even allowed them to google it. Know yourself before any interview. Be calm & answer politely.

Yes, that was a wonderful interview experience for me, which is my first interview and I am happy that I could make it. I hope this will be useful for you guys too. Best of luck everyone!
