DRDO Interview Experience for Scientist B (RAC New Delhi)

Hello everyone 

I am going to share my interview experience in DRDO for the post of Scientist-B. My interview was on 11th February 2023. I still remember that day, I was the second last person to be interviewed on that day. I waited till 3 pm and also you are not allowed to carry mobile phones or any other stuff in the waiting room except your documents. In the waiting room, 2 staffs were there to verify our original documents, after that, your attendance will be marked. You have to wait until your chance comes. Once my turn comes they called me, I entered and greeted them one by one.

Description of interview 

There were 5 members in the panel. They just asked the name and started the questioning. 

They will not give you time for an introduction. They just asked my favorite subjects and they started asking my favorite subjects one by one.

Basically, every candidate has to tell 3-4 favorite subjects. They may also ask some programming question.

I told them my favorite subjects are – 

1. operating system
2. computer network 
3. compiler 

  Some of the questions that I am able to recall are 

• Difference between IS/OSI and TCP/IP
• Semaphores and their Application 
• Phases of compiler 
• Write a program to rotate the matrix 
• Write the program to find the square root of a number 
• Lots of questions on security and cryptography
• Mechanism of VPN
• Working of Layers 

NOTE:

•  You have to prepare for all subjects because they were asking out of your favorite subjects.
•  Avoid telling CN as favorite subjects, this is their favorite subject. Tell CN only if you are comfortable with topics like security, and cryptography.
•  Prepare some basic coding questions.
