Bharti Airtel Digital YTL Interview Experience (On-Campus) 2023

Airtel came to our college for 2 roles named – Airtel Digital and Airtel Network ECE (major).

Online Assessment:

There were 2 Coding Questions (Medium-Hard Level).

• Shortest string possible after removal of all pairs of similar adjacent characters
• Equal Nodes in a Binary Tree.

and I was able to solve one of them and got shortlisted for the next round, a total of 38 were shortlisted for Digital and 20 for Network.

ROUND 1 [Technical Interview Round]:

This was a technical interview round. The interviewer asked me to give a brief introduction about myself. Then she asked me the following questions:-

• What is your final year project?

My final year project is in the group, so she asked me how I contributed there.

SQL

She asked me to write some queries on the following:

1. Query to find the maximum salary in an employee table.
2. Query to get the current date.
3. Select the list of all the employees whose first name starts with the letter ‘J’.

OOPS

1. Why do we need Oops?

I was confident enough that I gave all the answers to the questions correctly.

Coding

She asked me to code whether Input – 12321 is a palindrome or not. I gave two approaches and was able to solve them correctly, then she moved on to the next question.

She asked me to find the longest substring without repeating characters and gave me the Input- “ABCDEFGABEF”. I gave the approach of sliding window and she was satisfied with my approach as we were running out of time. She asked me two input questions and wanted me to give the output.

• String 1: “way”

String 2: “get”

String 3: “geek”

String = {1+string 1+30+40+string 2+string 3}

• The second is also similar to the first and has a few changes.

She was satisfied and told me that both outputs were correct.

• After that, we came up to the end and then she asked me to ask any question.
• She was completely satisfied with my answers, and we ended the interview on a happy note. (45-minutes).
• Out of 38 students, 11 got selected for the HR Round, and I was not one of them ( but I got some questions that were asked by my friends).

ROUND 2 [HR Round] 15-20 minutes Duration:

1. What is your hobby?
2. Why do you want to join Airtel?
3. Where do you see yourself after 5 years? Do you have any further education plans?
4. What motivates you to be in this software industry?

The results came on the same day (10 students were selected).
