Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering Admission Experience

It was the year 2022, and I got into Bakhtiyarpur college of Engineering, Patna in the second round of the BCECE counseling. I want to share my experience during the admission process at Bakhtiyapur College of engineering.

I want to emphasize something crucial for all students preparing for or planning to take the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). Scoring well in the JEE mains exam is of utmost importance as it serves as the gateway to our dream colleges and also makes us eligible for the JEE Advanced exam.

Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main) – Standard means of entry to the National Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Information Technology, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. The college admission process was a transformative journey, filled with anticipation, self-discovery, and personal growth. My first step was to explore various colleges and universities. I attended college fairs, scoured through countless brochures, and engaged in conversations with current students and alumni. I have decided to be admitted to a big college located in our district. I applied for counseling at a state government college through JEE MAINS. I tried to search about college, but couldn’t come up with much

• How big was the campus?
• How many branches were there?
• What were the companies visiting?
• What is the course that they teach?

Still, seeing the fully government-funded college. That was the idea back then, and still is i.e. to get into a Government

college. I remember reaching the campus with my father. Some professors were helpful but most of them were self-concerned and they didn’t care about what you have gone through being new in the city. Some will shout, and you have to wait in queue for the document verification process. Please carry 3–3 copies of every document with you and that too self-attested.

This is where it got a bit sour for me. I saw the amount and it was quite humongous for a college that I had thought was associated with the Government.

BCE Patna was established in 2016 by the Government of Bihar via its Department of Science and Technology, Bihar.BCErecognized by the AICTE and is affiliated to Bihar Engineering University (BEU).

You can get admission in in this college through the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board(BCECEB) conducts an exam based on the Merit List of the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination.After 2019, admissions for the state engineering colleges of Bihar are based on JEE-MAIN marks.

BCE Bakhtiyarpur’s new own campus at Bakhtiyarpur was inaugurated on February 2, 2020. It is about 3.5 km from Bakhtiyarpur Junction railway station by road. This campus is near the Dedaur village area just beside the railway lines. The college has started its 2020 session from this campus along with the temporary campus for GEC Buxar.
