Bajaj Auto Interview Experience (On-Campus) 2023

Hey folks
I’ll be writing my first interview experience at Bajaj Auto. I majored in mechanical from NIT Bhopal, 2019-23 batch. Bajaj came to our college last week of July 2022. It took a written test, followed by a psychometric test and a technical + Hr interview. 

I’ll share my technical interview. Make sure you are aware of the zoom features in the laptop because when I joined, the background was of a projectile motion of a stone and sin theta, cos theta wrote over my head.  The interviewer told me that I am looking so funny which decreased my confidence level even before the start of the interview.

So the first question was, as usual, tell me something about yourself. There was only one person taking interviews. I told all the relevant things that I did till the 6th sem.

During that time, since it was my first interview, I was a bit confused that if he ask, for example, what is my minor project… So did I have to just let him know in short or should explain from scratch and come to the point?

I was like, he is the interviewer, maybe it’s not good if I start with very basic. And this is my biggest mistake. I was so well prepared for my minor project, but when he asked, I told him very basic just the title of my project and he didn’t ask anything from that and moved to technical subjects from mechanical. 

There were some questions for sure from my major project like what was my role in that team and learnings.

After that, the questions were:

• Difference between servo and other electric motors. 
  • (Answered) 
• 2. Which motor will you use in EV? 
  • (Answered) 
• 3. What are your favorite subjects? 
  • I told Som and Thermo
• 4. Can you draw a stress-strain diagram? 
  • (Answered mild steel stress-strain diagram with explanation)
• 5. Do you know IC engines? 
• 6. Draw the Otto cycle, diesel cycle, and dual cycle and explain. 
  • (Didn’t revise, so was not that smooth in explanation) 
• Other non-technical questions:
• What do you know about Bajaj? 
• Do you have any questions to ask? 
• When everyone’s interview was over, they told the results and took her interview at the same time. 
• So these were the questions I can remember now and the learnings that helped me to crack my second interview. 
• I think they mostly ask about IC engines and the different types of cycles that are in our syllabus. So make sure to prepare that if you wanna placed in Bajaj Auto.
