Amazon Interview Experience As An Application Engineer

Hi Readers,
I have been interviewed by Amazon as an Application Engineer. The hiring process was totally online and it was a seamless procedure. I was working as a Reliability and Production Engineer at Morgan Stanley. I got a ping from an Amazon recruiter on LinkedIn. Apart from this, I am really thankful to GOD, as I believe behind every success there is some luck as well.
So, coming to the process, there were a total of five rounds.
Round 1:
This round was a screening/telephonic round in which they asked questions that were totally based on the tech stack that you mentioned in the resume. This lasts for around 40-60 minutes.
Round 2:
This round was a technical round. I don’t remember the exact coding questions that they have asked, but both are simple questions, complexity would be leet-code medium questions. Two questions were provided and I was able to solve both the questions.
Round 3:
This was also a technical round, I was given two coding questions and I was able to solve 1 question fully and the other one partially. However, the interviewer was convinced by my approach. Apart from this, he asked me questions on the projects that I had done during college and on the tech stacks that I was currently working on.
Round 4:
This was a special round also known as the Bar-Raiser round, where they analysed and tested the candidate’s knowledge if he/she is capable of some other role that they have in their vacancy bucket or not. Also, this was a technical round for me.
Round 5:
This was an HR round, where the interviewer filters out if the candidate is a good fit as per the work culture in Amazon or not.
After all this round, the recruiter reached out and I was selected. I was so happy and who won’t be happy as it’s everyone’s dream to work in FAANG/MAANG companies.
