ZS Associates came to our campus with Business Technology Solution Associate(BTSA) role, for a 6-month Internship + FTE Role. For the previous batches, ZS arrived with three roles i.e. Business Technology Solutions Associate (BTSA), Business Operations Associate (BOA), and Data Analytics Associate (DAA) but for this batch, they just came with only one role.

Round 1(Aptitude): This round consisted of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, and Verbal Ability sections with question type MCQ and subjective. Every section has a different time limit. You can’t switch sections in between, once the timer of a particular section is started you just have to finish the section in the limited time. Time Management was very important as a maximum number of students got eliminated in this round. so make sure to allocate a reasonable amount of time to each question.

Level: Easy
Pro Tip: Try to be quick while attempting the question.

Round 2(Test): If you qualified the aptitude round, you will proceed to this round. The total time given for this test is 1hrs and 30mins(i.e. 90mins). It has only 3 sections:

Section 1(SQL Questions): In this section, there will be 10 MCQs based on SQL and DBMS. Level: Medium

Section 2(Programming): There will be only 2 questions about very basic programming but the catch is you only have Java and Python as your programming language option. C/C++ and many other language options are not there.** Level: Easy

Section 3(SQL Query): There will be only 2 questions of questions and you have to write the query for these questions. Level: Medium

You can switch between these 3 sections as per your requirement.

Round 3 (Video Interview + HR): After clearing the test round, you will be directed to the video interview round. Here the interviewer will ask you questions that you will have to answer with the mic and camera on. This round varies from interviewer to interviewer and candidate to candidate. Many of my batch-mates had interviews for more than 1 hour and I had an interview of 20mins. Types of Questions asked in this interview are Basic Questions about yourself, HR questions, Guesstimates, Puzzles, and SQL Questions. Questions asked to me :

1. Introduce yourself.

2. Puzzle : Measuring 6L water from 4L and 9L buckets

3. Situational Questions: If you are working on a project for the last 6 months and suddenly the project has some technical error and tomorrow is the launch day. What you’ll do? You have 3 options : (i) Go to the tech support team but this will take the whole process of 3-4 days, till then tell the client everything and ask them to postpone the launch day. (ii). you hide this issue from clients and work the whole day and night but there might be a chance that the issue isn’t resolved by you.

4. Why do want to work with ZS?

5. Do you have any plans for further studies?

The interviewer is very supportive and understands the situation and will help you along the way.

Pro Tip: Be calm and answer with confidence. Practice the basic HR questions thoroughly. Read about the company before going to interview, like their working areas, major clients, and their client retention rate.

After this, my interview got over.

Verdict: They issued the list of all the selected candidates and my name was in the list.

Bad Luck: Due to the recession, ZS has canceled all the internships across India but that has nothing to do with the full-time role. Many have joined ZS as full-time employees and shortly I will also join ZS as a Business Technology Solution Associate.

All the very best!
