What is actually this WILP Program?

The WIPRO WILP (Work Integrated Learning Program ) is a uniquely learning based job oriented program that offers Graduate /final year students of B.C.A( Bachelor’s Of Computer Applications) and B.Sc. (Bachelors of sciences ) Students basically from streams such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Electronics, and Physics,(i.e.) Mathematics to be compulsory/core subject in graduation) to build a carrier in WIPRO while pursuing higher education(M-Tech) From a Premier institution in India( like BITS-Pilani) which will be fully sponsored by Wipro.

Hiring Process

  • Online Application( Go to website: https://careers.wipro.com/wilp
  • Give Online Assessment (approx. 80 min).
  • Give Written Communication Test ( only if you get qualified in the online assessment).
  • After Successfully qualifying in the online assessment and the Written Communication test 
    you will get to the next round i.e. BDR (business discussion round) /say Technical /HR interview Round.
  • If you get successfully qualified in all the above rounds, you will receive your OL(offer letter) after someday (2 weeks min).

My Journey of Selection for the Wipro WILP Program

Hi, I have graduated with B.Sc. (Hons.) Electronics, from Keshav Mahavidyalaya, University of Delhi in the year July 2022.

I applied for the program on 28 Jun 2022. For the online assessment, the link come via email on 10 July 2022.

The result of the online assessment is 13 July 2022, and confirmation for the next round i.e. BDR(Business Discussion Round).
The Interview /BDR was scheduled on 26 July 2022 and the result of this round was come in the form of uploading the requested documents to be Uploaded over the ICIMS portal ( that means I have cleared the BDR round) for document verification.

After successful verification of the document, I received the Laptop shipment form, consent acceptance form, etc. And after a few orientation sessions with Wipro employees, I received the Onboarding details.

However, I have done all the processes but not joined the company due to their delayed onboarding (i.e it was expected to be in Jan -march,2023) almost after 4 months due to recessions.

currently, I am doing M.C.A from ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad.

Online Assessment

In the online assessment (80 minutes), two parts

Part 1: (60 min)

  • Total 60 Questions
  • Divided into parts as quantitative, verbal, and logical reasoning skills.
  • There are 20 questions in each section i.e. 20 from quant,20 from Verbal and 20 from reasoning.
  • No negative Marking

Part 2:(20 min)

  • WET test,20 min ( Written Communication Test)
  • 1 Question
  • No negative Marking.

Round 2:  Online technical interview / Business Discussion Round (BDR)/ HR Round 

I am sharing my personal interview Experience (20-25 minutes).

Since I was having good academics (Marks/grade/CGPA/percentage), HR didn’t ask me any technical questions.

some of the questions which I remembered that they asked are:-

  1. Give a self Introduction which includes your personal details, educational background, any work experience/internships, and achievements if any. (Meanwhile, HR got a quick look over the resume that I uploaded while filling out the application).
  2. To give a brief introduction about the projects mentioned in my resume.
  3. To give a brief about the various achievements mentioned in my resume.
  4. What is your major strength mention any 2 weaknesses and steps that are you taking to remove these weaknesses, and give examples?
  5. Do you have any active backlogs?
  6. Do you ready to relocate?
  7. Are you ready to work in flexible hours? i.e. night shifts.
  8. Are you interested in going for higher education?
  9. Full Form of Wipro.
  10. What do you know about WIPRO? (basically its product and services, Current CEO, founder, headquarters location, and Growth rate)
  11. When it is offered to work as a team leader or a team member which one will you choose?
  12. Do we need to respect each other in any organization? if yes, why? ( If you get a chance to work for Wipro as an employee, why it is necessary to give respect to another employee). give 5-6 relevant points.
  13. what is your daily routine?
  14. Tell me in brief about your family background.
  15. what are your hobbies?
  16. where do you see yourself after 5 years?
  17. Suppose you are a team leader and a project is allotted to you and failed to meet the deadlines. How will you manage your team to avoid any conflict and what steps will you take?
  18. And At last, what is your short time and Longtime goal?

That’s all and the interview was over.

After a few days, I received my offer letter.

However, I suggest if you are going to appear for the technical round/BDR/HR round, you must prepare some topics and basic questions.
I have explored the interview round and I found the same questions were being asked to candidates.
some of the topics/Questions were.

  1. Read abut the Company and the job description(i.e. WILP, as they asked it frequently to tell me about Wipro and what do you know about WILP program?)
  2. OOPS concept.
  3. Pillars of OPPS.
  4. Difference between C and C++.
  5. History of C language
  6. Pointer in C
  7. DBMS
  8. Some Concepts related to Java
  9. About Inheritance
  10. About constructors
  11. Class and objects
  12. Hard work v/s Smart work, Which one do you prefer and why?.
  13. Palindrome Numbers
  14. Array concept
