Job title: Talent Acquisition Executive – Wipro

Location: Gurgaon

Process:

  • FIRST ROUND INTERVIEW
  • SECOND ROUND INTERVIEW
  • MANAGER DISCUSSION ROUND

I received a call from Wipro for the Talent Acquisition Executive role.

There were three rounds of interviews for this job role.

In the First round, they asked me a few questions to check my communication skills, like, 

  1. Tell me something about yourself.
  2. Why do you want to join Wipro?
  3. What is this talent acquisition role all about?
  4. Where do you want to see yourself in the next five years?
  5. Why have you chosen to work in talent acquisition?

I responded to the first question by addressing the pertinent aspects of this interview, such as my quick introduction and prior professional experience. I responded to each query in a similar manner, reassuringly and succinctly. The interviewer was particularly drawn to this, as she loved that I was direct in my responses.

The day after the first round of interview, I received the feedback that I have been shortlisted for the second round of Interview, which will be held the next day.

In the Second round, they asked more questions to check my recruitment and industry knowledge.

The following questions were asked:

  1. What are the profiles that you have worked on?
  2. What are hiring platforms that you are familiar with?
  3. What is Boolean search, and how to use Boolean search?
  4. How to prepare JD for a job position?
  5. What questions would you ask while conducting a phone interview?
  6. What skills make you qualified for this role?
  7. What strategies would you use to attract more talent?

I did my best to provide all the answers. After the second round, I received a mail from Wipro that I had been selected for the manager discussion round.

Finally, I participated in the Manager Discussion Round, which was quite educational. The interviewer made a final offer for the position of Talent Acquisition Executive during the manager’s round, but I was unable to accept it at that moment. But all in all, it was a wonderful experience and helped shape my thinking for the future.
