ROUND-1(Online Assessment)

This online assessment was held on November 25, 2022. This online assessment comprises three parts:

  • Aptitude Assessment (Easy-Moderate Level): 20 questions in 30 minutes
  • Coding Assessment (Easy-Moderate Level): 3 questions in 60 minutes
  • Automated Video Assessment: 6 questions in 15 minutes

The whole test was proctored, with audio and video permission required and a maximum of six alerts allowed.

Tip: Sit in a room with proper lighting and no noise around.

ROUND-2 (Group Discussion)

The results of the online assessment were announced (took more than usual time) and I was selected for the GD round. The group discussion panel consisted of 7 members along with the invigilator. He gave us a topic, which was Online and Offline Education.  He told everyone to prepare for it in 2 minutes, and then he told us to start discussing. this GD was like an original discussion on that topic, where everyone expressed their views. I explained my views on why offline education is best, and this discussion was 5–10 minutes long.

Tip: Sit with proper dressing and manners like a professional. Also, be confident while discussing your opinion.

ROUND-3 (Technical Interview)

As I was selected from GD, I got a call from the HR Team of Wiley saying that my technical interview was scheduled in 3 days and to be prepared for that. That evening, I received an email with a link to the interview.

The interviewer was female, and she began the interview without taking or giving an introduction. The interview comprises the following questions:

  • Explain the projects that you have created so far.
  • Also, explain projects that you created for the academic curriculum.
  • What is the “Final” keyword in Java?
  • What is Lambda in Python?
  • Difference b/w UNION & UNION ALL
  • How we can fetch unique records from tables in SQL (Ans.: DISTINCT)
  • What is a Doubly Linked List?
  • A drawback of array implementation of Queue.

Other than this, she asked me to share my screen and open IDE, which was already there on the interview platform. Then she told me to write a code for printing the repeated character from a string, and here I have to do it in either Java or Python. I did the code in Java and was able to impress her.

After this, he gave me a question to write a SQL query for fetching 50% of the records from a table. Later, she asked me to explain that query. I was able to solve this as well.

That’s all for this round.

After this interview in mid-day, at the end of the day, I got a mail saying that I had cleared this online interview round.

Conclusion: Selected at Wiley Edge
