I am currently a third-year student at the University School of Automation and Robotics and here is my honest experience at USAR till now.

Campus:

It’s a mid-sized campus and smaller than the main campus in Dwarka but the architecture is beautiful and the classrooms and facilities are well-made. It is situated in east Delhi with a few malls and places to eat nearby. While it is a new college and still getting more comfortable with itself, the faculty and opportunities provided are as good as the main campus.

First Year:

Our term started in 2021 and was mostly online for the whole year with a few student clubs meeting up for events independently.

Second Year:

Offline classes started and a lot of new cultural clubs popped up such as the dance club, music club, CSR club, etc. Even though the classes had started, the hostels weren’t ready yet so most of the students from outside Delhi had to arrange for PGs or flats. Got to learn and experience a lot of workshops and seminars this year. We had a mandated internship of 1 month after 4th semester which could be done under a professor or from an outside company.

Third Year:

Peers got more serious regarding their academics and the faculty were very supportive. Tech clubs such as GDSC (Google Developers student club) and IOSC (Intel OneAPI Students Club) were introduced and tech fests/cultural fests were organised on the campus.

College Fests:

There has been at least 1 fest every year I’ve been studying here. The scale is campus-wide and organisation is completely handled by the organising committee of students.

Placements:

The first placements will be of the 2021-2025 batch so no stats are there as of now.
