I am a student of CMREC located in Medchal, Telangana. I am currently in my third year of BTech in Computer Science and Engineering with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning as my specialty. Though the importance of College in Education is debatable it doesn’t negate the importance it holds in the overall development of the student into a young adult going into the main world for the first time. The college acts as a stepping stone for the students who are venturing into their new lives and for me, CMREC was the right choice. In this article, I will be describing my personal experience at this college and all the facilities available.

Infrastructure:

CMREC is built over an area of 5.6 sq acres of land. Centrally located is the college ground and around it are the various blocks. The college was founded in the year 2010 so all the buildings are relatively new. There is regular maintenance of the buildings with new buildings and facilities being added regularly. The whole campus has Wi-Fi connectivity, which helps students to continue learning outside the classrooms. Each lab is equipped with ample numbers of computers with internet connectivity. There are washrooms for the differently abled. The whole campus is filled with greenery, this helps us to be calm and composed, We can enjoy pretty nice food in the canteen.

Academics:

CMREC pushes each student to achieve academic excellence with the faculty providing each and every student with a launchpad. CMREC offers students courses in engineering and management. The courses taught here provide students with strong theoretical knowledge and the lab enables the students to gain important practical experience. The courses taught are revised at regular intervals based on the industry requirements.

Faculties:

The teaching staff is full of people with doctorates and many people are pursuing research work along with teaching here. CMREC offers students courses in engineering and management. The culture of college encourages us to be open to facilities regarding any problems we might face in the subjects. They help each student individually to work on their weakness. They encourage students to pursue their interest in research and practical application of the knowledge they gain. The non-teaching faculty try their best to make learning as smooth as possible.

Events and Societies:

CMREC has many student-initiated clubs and student chapters. These clubs help students explore their interests beyond academics and act as a platform to show and hone their talents. The main center of attraction in all the clubs is the Prajwal club which is responsible for all the cultural events that take place in the college. The clubs are always welcoming to students who express their interest to join these fests. There are festivals and events conducted at regular intervals. Apart from cultural events, there are many technical events that allow the students to show off their intellectual abilities some of the events are bind coding, relay coding, and a whole bunch of literary events.

Placements:

The motto of our parent group itself says “Think CMR Think Placement”. The placements committee works tirelessly to get the best available opportunities for students. They not only provide placement support for 3 and final-year students but also provide internship opportunities for second and first-year students. The students undergo training activities from the first year itself but they go into full effect from the 2 nd year. There are many companies that visit CMREC for recruitment including giants like Wipro, Infosys, and TCS. They even have startups for students who wish to experience that work culture. The average package is around 7-8 lakhs per annum and the highest one of last year was 25 lakhs per annum.

Conclusion:

I would like to conclude by saying that in my opinion, CMREC is a great college. It not only provides students with subjective knowledge but also equips them with the skills required to survive in this competitive world. They help the students find their true purpose and interest in life. I would like to recommend this to anyone looking for a college to join.
