Techno International New Town (TINT) Campus Experience

Introduction

In this article, I will describe my campus experience with my college Techno International New Town, which is situated in Kolkata and it is part of the renowned “Techno India” Group. I will describe my entire experience from the start till the end and cover all the possible doubts someone might have while taking admission into the college.

About the College 

Techno International New Town, formerly known as Techno India College of Technology, established in 2005 is one of the newest members of the coveted “Techno India” group which is one of the leaders in the field of Engineering. TINT offers various UG and PG degrees like B.Tech, BCA, MCA, etc. In B.Tech., there are lots of branches like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Applied Electronics, Electronics and Communications, Computer Science, etc.

Academics

As I mentioned, TINT is part of the coveted “Techno India” group, which has colleges throughout the country, so they don’t compromise anything regarding academics. It is affiliated with MAKAUT University (which is the government university of West Bengal) and it follows it’s syllabus. TINT provides various programs both in UG and PG, like Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, management, etc. By looking at the current scenario TINT has also introduced many new specialization courses which are part of the Computer Science and Engineering department, like Computer Science with Specialization in the Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, etc. They always try to cope with the current technologies required in the market by the different companies.

Infrastructure 

Infrastructure is one of the most vital elements of any college, and TINT doesn’t compromise on it either. They have well-equipped laboratories for every engineering department (or any other department which has practical subjects in the syllabus) with all the necessary equipment, it also offers various research facilities, a huge library with all the required books a student might require for the academics. The campus is also equipped with high-speed WIFi, which allows students to access online resources and keep connected all the time.

Industry collaboration

TINT understands the importance of bridging the gap between academia and industry. TINT has collaborated with various leading companies and renowned research organizations to carry out research work and provide internships to students. It also includes some industrial site visits and some guest lectures from renowned professors. Apart from regular classes, this type of interaction and internships between students and various partners allows them to not only get ready academically but also prepares them for the industry standards which they will face in the upcoming days.

Student Clubs and Societies 

Apart from just studying, TINT encourages students to follow their passions too by providing them the opportunity to join various student clubs. TINT has many student clubs, all of them are of different domains, students can be part of more than one club of their choice, and there is no restriction regarding that.

4. IEI (Institution of Engineers, India)

Campusing 

Campusing might be the most important part of any college, and TINT is nothing new to it. TINT is a strategic partner of French IT giant Capgemini, who each year mass recruits from the college. Apart from that various other renowned companies like Cognizant, Infosys, IBM, LTIMindtree, EY, Persistent Systems, Sopra Sterria, Sterlite Technologies, Pinnacle Infotech, Keysight Technologies, Microsoft, Amazon, etc. The institution provides all the necessary training to the students who are appearing for the placements.

Conclusion

Techno International New Town provides students with an excellent academic experience, holistic development, and industry exposure. Students can explore their passions apart from studies here and TINT will help them in every way possible. Even UG students can participate in research activities and publish their own research papers in various conferences and organizations like IEEE, Springer, etc. TINT’s campus life, excellent faculty, industry exposure, and commitment to excellence makes it one of the most preferred choices for upcoming Technical Geeks.
