I am a student of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and I got selected in TCS by an exam, conducted by TCS named NQT (National Qualifier Test). We have to register for NQT on the TCS career page. This exam happens 2 times a year, one is free and one is paid.

There are 3 rounds for TCS Ninja and 4-5 rounds for TCS digital. Whether you are qualified for TCS Ninja or TCS Digital, will be decided after your first round so let’s take a brief overview of all rounds-

Round 1

This is an online aptitude, programming, and coding test. The first section consists of 26 aptitude questions and the time given is 40 minutes which is less than 2 minutes per question. The second section has 15 programming questions and the third part has 3 coding questions. If someone has solved even one coding question then chances for qualifying for TCS digital would be quite high.

Round 2

This is a technical interview round. Commonly, the duration of this round is in the range of 15 to 20 minutes. In this round, the Interviewer just asks basic core subject questions. Some questions which were asked me-

  • Introduce yourself.
  • Explain your projects.
  • Difference between div and span tags in HTML
  • How will you sort the array
  • Difference between HTML and XML
  • How to fetch data from API

Round 3

This was an HR interview round because I was qualified for TCS ninja not TCS digital. This round was very short and just 2-3 behavioral questions were asked like

  • Where do you want to see yourself in the next 5 years?
  • How do you handle conflict in the group?
  • Strength and Weakness

After 5-10 minutes of interaction, the interviewer asked me to send a pdf of all documents and the interview was over.

After the whole process, I got an offer letter within 7 days.
