Brief description of the college

SSGMCE is a private engineering college located in Shegaon, Maharashtra. It was established in 1983 and is affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering, as well as a few diploma courses.

The campus of SSGMCE is spread over 100 acres and is located in a peaceful and serene environment. The college has well-equipped laboratories, a library, a sports complex, and a hostel.

My first year to final year journey

I joined SSGMCE in 2019 as a CSE student. My first year was a bit of a challenge, as I had to adjust to the new environment and the demanding curriculum. However, I quickly settled in and started enjoying my studies.

In my second year, I started taking part in extracurricular activities, such as the technical fest and the sports festival. I also started working on my technical skills by participating in hackathons and coding competitions.

In my third year, I started focusing on my placements. I attended a few pre-placement talks and started preparing for the interviews. I also started networking with alumni and industry professionals.

In my final year, I was placed in a software company with a good salary. I was very happy to have achieved my goal of getting a good job.

About the placements

The placement cell at SSGMCE is very active and they do a great job of helping students get placed in good companies. The average salary package for CSE students is around INR 5 lakhs per annum.

Things I learned or failed to learn

I learned a lot during my time at SSGMCE. I learned about the different aspects of computer science, such as programming, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and software engineering. I also learned about the importance of teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

However, there are also a few things that I failed to learn. I wish I had learned more about the practical aspects of software development. I also wish I had learned more about the business side of the tech industry.

Things that are good or bad in the college

There are a few things that are good about SSGMCE. The faculty is very knowledgeable and helpful. The campus is well-maintained and the facilities are good. The placement cell is very active and they do a great job of helping students get placed in good companies.

However, there are also a few things that could be improved. The curriculum could be updated to reflect the latest trends in the tech industry. The college could also provide more opportunities for students to learn about the practical aspects of software development.

Overall, I had a good experience at SSGMCE. I learned a lot and I made some great friends. I would recommend the college to anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in computer science.
