One fine day I got a message from Recruiter via LinkedIn that they are hiring for the Technical Content Writer position and they shortlisted my profile. They were asking if I&#x2019m interested, and within seconds I replied to that mail positively.

Telephonic Round: The Recruiter generally asked about myself, my background, my skills, and shared roles and responsibilities.

Assignment Round: After a day, I received an assignment link with some C, C++, JavaScript, and Operating System topics, as well as some guidelines, as well as a link to the submission form with the Early deadline, in which they invited me to submit an 800&#x20131200 word sample article on one topic, along with their guidelines.

After almost 1 month I got a call asking when can we schedule an interview. After that, I received a mail with the first round of interview scheduling.

Technical Interview Round (Oct 29, 2021): The interviewer was very polite. First and foremost, he asked me about myself. Then he told me about my assignment, and how pleased he was with it.

Then he asked about some programming fundamentals, such as what functions are and why we use them, as well as the different types of functions and the live coding example of functions as well.

In the second half interview, he asked me about DBMS and Operating System concepts.

Finally, he posed various blogging-related questions, like whether or not including stories and graphics in an article is a good idea and why we should include them. How can we make our article more concise and easy to read? How can we optimize our articles for search engines?

After about an hour (Oct 29, 2021), I received an email from Scaler with an offer letter informing me that I had been selected as a Technical Content Writer.

Onboarding Call (Nov 2, 2021): During the onboarding call, one of the POCs asked about us and told us about himself. He also introduced us to the Scaler Topics team and explained the entire process of how they work, as well as assisted our manager and the team that we will be joining.

Verdict (May 23, 2022): I got a mail from Scaler informing me that I was selected. Things to remember:

  • Revise CS Concepts before the interview. I was asked in-depth in Technical Round.
  • Always write clean readable code in the interview with proper variable names and indentation.
  • Always write the simple article in the assignment with technical and grammatical precision, as well as a clean and tidy structure.
  • Know your current project inside and out.
  • Some blogging tips and tricks. (most important)

Conclusion: This was a detailed overview of the interview process I went through. I hope you find it informative.

Best wishes
