Introduction:

A few months ago I had the privilege of going through an interview process for a technical content writer position at Collegedunia, one of the leading search engines for students out there who are looking for valuable information on the higher education sector in India. The interview consisted of only one round in which we had to write an article of 150-200 words from the two topics which were given to us and the candidate only has one day to write that article, else their candidature will be cancelled. Here’s a detailed analysis of my interview experience:

In October 2022, I had the privilege of going through an interview process for a technical content writer position at Collegedunia.

So, one day I was scrolling through Linkedin when I got to know that there are few openings for Technical Content Writer positions at Collegedunia. So I first checked the eligibility criteria to confirm whether I am eligible for this role or not and I got to know that I am eligible. Then I applied for the role through Linkedin only and after a few days I got a mail regarding that you are shortlisted for the “Technical Content Writer” position and I have to write one article of 150-200 words on the topics:

  • What are the options for students post-completing their graduation in Australia?
  • Is INSEAD a better business school than HBS (Harvard Business School)?

I had to choose one article from these two articles which were given to me as options. So, I selected the article and started writing on it, and submitted the article later that afternoon. After a few days, I got a mail saying “Currently we are not moving with your candidature“.

After 10-20 days again there were few openings for the same position in Collegedunia and I again applied through Linkedin. Again I got a mail to write one article of about 150-200 words. I submitted the article within the stipulated time. On October 17, 2022, I got a mail that “You are Selected” and they provided me with the Offer Letter.

Conclusion:

The interview process at Collegedunia was a little bit challenging yet turned out to be rewarding. This single round provided a platform to showcase my technical skills. Their evaluation process for the role gave me a deeper understanding of the organization’s expectations of the candidate and also provided insights into the technical challenges that I might encounter in the role.

I am pleased to tell you all that I was fortunate enough to receive an offer from Collegedunia. I am grateful for this opportunity and the good experience throughout the interview process at Collegedunia.
