Doing a job in India’s most reputed banks seems quite fascinating and a medal of pride. Those ones who belong to middle-class and lower-middle-class families will relate to this. It is not only a proud moment for you but also for your parents.

Hello Everybody, today I am going to share with you my SBI PO Interview experience. Hope this will help you to identify all the odds and favors during an interview.

My interview gets scheduled for 18 February 2022. I was so happy and nervous as well but I know clearing this interview will become a game-changer for me so I take all the precautions to reduce the pressure. As our interview centre is quite far from my hometown so I reached my Interview centre two hours before the actual reporting time. All the selected members transferred to a room where I am the only female candidate who appeared for this interview. I am the third person who was interviewed by the panelist.

Here is the list of questions that were asked by the panelist.

1. Tell us about your qualification and tell us 1 thing about you which is not mentioned in your application:

My Answer :
Hello sir/madam, I am a B.Com graduate from Delhi university. I have completed my academics from D.P.S. 1 thing about me that is not mentioned in my application form is that I am a badminton player and won several inter-school as well as intra-college competitions.

While answering the very first question I was a little bit nervous and start fumbling but I know I have to manage this pressure so I will clear this Interview.

2. Why do you think that you will turn out to be a great fit for this job :

My Answer :
In the initial days of my preparation, I was the weakest person in my batch who face so many difficulties while solving a simple question. But my determination and an urge to don’t give up helps me to cross these hurdles and now I cleared the PRE as well as MAINS exams and finally reached this interview and get an opportunity to be in front of you. Now, I am confident that I am a good fit for this position for several reasons, but most specifically because of my dedication to going above and beyond in a job. I am committed to learning any new skills on my own to succeed in this role. I can say that I will be able to handle each challenge that comes along the journey in my PO career.

After this answer, all these panelists were so impressed which result in an increment in my confidence.

3. What are your reasons  to choose this as a career:

Sir, I belong to a lower-middle-class family, and I want to serve in Banking Sector so that I can directly serve the People and resolved their issues and difficulties related to Banking. Apart from that, there are so many reasons to join banking as a career out of which my reasons are – Job Stability, Long Term Career Prospect, and Sufficient Personal and Professional Development Opportunities.

After these three questions, they start asking me some conceptual and general questions to check my knowledge and thorough understanding of concepts

4. What is the relation between the Radius, height, and Slant height of the cone :

My Answer:

As we know, if we form a triangle with Height, Radius, and slant height then this will become a right-angled triangle. By using the Pythagoras theorem we will find the relation as,
l2 = h2 + r2
Where l = slant height, h = height of the cone, and r = radius of the cone.

5. What is the APOLLONIUS THEOREM and when does one use this theorem :

In this Question, I fumbled and didn’t able to answer this properly because I know how to use this theorem but was not able to clarify the theorem. But I will share the answer with you to avoid confusion.

Answer:
It is a relationship between the median of the triangle and the sides of the triangle. One uses this theorem to calculate the length of the median of the triangle.

6. What do you understand by AMORTIZATION?

My Answer :
A process in which a customer is paying all the interest and Principal amount in some small installments to clear off the debt by its maturity date. This is known as Amortization. It will turn out to be a negative Amortization if one is not able to pay off the debt by its maturity date.

7. What is Overdraft protection?

My Answer:
A service provided by the bank in those cases when your account doesn’t have sufficient funds to clear cheque and debit transactions. In exchange of this bank charges some overdraft protection fees which will turn out to be a profit for the banks.

8. What is the difference between fixed APR and Variable APR

My Answer:
APR stands for Annual percentage rate. The Fixed annual percentage rate is better than variable annual percentage rates because Fixed APR results in a fixed interest amount or one needs to pay the expected interest on the principal on the other hand variable APR results in a more payable interest amount due to the fluctuation in the rates. Fixed APR is better for education loans.

9. Is there any loopholes in the Indian banking system. If it is yes then how do you solve this problem :

My Answer:
I personally feel that there are some areas in the banking system which need reforms and continuous innovation. The introduction of new technology and software makes the work easy and helps the bank to retain its customer. If I am facing so many issues while paying online through net banking then why should I again choose the same bank for the same purpose.

10. During your preparation, which topic do you like the most. Give an application of the topic in real life :

My Answer:
I love to solve Quantitative aptitude questions. I spend hours of time by solving the questions. In quantitative aptitude, Profit, loss and discount and Geometry I like the most. It helps me to think out of the box and find alternate methods to solve real-life problems. These two are the major application of QA.

11. Is there any question you want to ask us.

My Answer:
Thank you so much sir for giving me this opportunity. My question is how I become a better version of myself along with the job.

Then they replied to me that, Every challenge one is facing in his life will eventually makes a person a better version of himself/herself. So you didn’t realize when you become a better version of yourself. It is a continuous process.

Then my Interview ends here. I was so happy to be in front of these amazing people. When I came out of the centre I was smiling and I sense that yes I will definitely clear this interview.

Conclusion: Yes I cleared this interview and working as a PO in SBI.

Here I am also sharing the do’s and don’t while one is preparing for the Interview,

1. There are so many questions that were asked by the panelist to make you nervous. So one has to be CALM so you can think in the positive direction.

2. You don’t need to be that person who knows all the answers to the question. As you read in this article I stayed positive and calm throughout this interview. Panelist eventually wants to check whether someone will handle the hardest situation or he/she lose confidence while dealing with the problems.

I hope you find this helpful.
