Hi all,

Today you will read about the experience of Engineer Pulkit Bindal, so without any further delay. Let`s get started. I have completed my graduation from Raj Kumar Goel Institute Of Technology, Ghaziabad, where I pursued a B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering. Overall, the college experience was filled with ups and downs at various stages due to a lack of skills and the COVID-19 pandemic. I did not get a chance to present on campus when I was in my third year. However, for the rest of the time, the experience was mind-blowing at every step.

About the Campus:

The campus was divided into blocks representing various branches and departments. It had solar-powered panels installed on the Mechanical Block Terrace, high-tech laboratories, a seminar hall with a large seating capacity, volleyball, and basketball grounds, indoor activities, a huge library, a placement cell, and a campus canteen that served not only meals but also 20 INR Cold Drink Bottles and noodles occasionally.

First-Year Experience:

My first year of college was entirely offline. I made new acquaintances and got to know seniors who helped me fit in. I had the opportunity to learn new things every day, mostly exploring topics related to my curriculum. I developed an interest in Python programming after learning that it would be a separate subject in the next year. The teachers were supportive and taught even the most difficult subjects in the easiest manner possible. The labs were conducted regularly, with a deep focus on practical knowledge alongside theoretical classes. Each student received individualized support from their assigned mentors, aiding them in both academic and extracurricular endeavors. I participated in various offline events and activities from the electronic society to the mechanical society.

Second and Third-Year Experience:

The second and third-year classes were partially conducted online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We adapted to the new changes and made online learning fun and enriching. Our exams were conducted online as well, which helped students from different states take the exams with ease. In the middle of the third year, I started the IEEE Student Branch on my campus. I was the founder of that organization and held the position of Chairperson. I collaborated with respected faculty members, directors, and juniors, ultimately establishing a strong IEEE Student Branch on campus.

Final Year Experience:

During the final year, classes returned to offline mode, giving us another opportunity to connect with our respected faculty members and meet our friends. Initially, we had to complete our final year hardware project along with its working code and files. After two months, we entered the placement season, and all final-year students were worried. However, I secured my very first job in October, which felt like a miracle. It was a result of my hard work and good wishes, along with my polite behavior throughout my academic journey. I obtained the No Objection Certificate from the placement cell and devoted myself entirely to my job. I felt elated as I got placed in the seventh semester, concluding my college experience on a high note.
