Propel Technology Interview Experience for Junior Developer

Hi there, I recently attended the interview of Propel Technology for the junior developer role. In this article, I will explain in detail about my interview experience.

Propel Technology is an innovative hub comprising skilled professionals dedicated to creating cutting-edge digital solutions. With a focus on technology and client satisfaction, the company offers comprehensive software development services, including web and mobile application development, software architecture design, and robust product engineering. The interview consists of four rounds.

Round 1 :

  • It is an online assessment and you will have three sections: Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Puzzle Solving.
  • You will have 15 questions in each section and you have to solve all 45 questions within 60 minutes
  • It was quite difficult to find the logic in the puzzle section.
  • It is an eliminatory round and in my campus, around 40% cleared this round.

Round 2:

  • It is a group discussion, that was organized in the college premises itself.
  • Each group consisted of 8 to 10 candidates and it was a mass eliminatory round.
  • The common Group discussion topics given on our campus were,
    • The importance of work-life balance
    • Security vs Privacy
    • Difficulties faced by freshers in the job market
    • Ways to create Awareness of mental health in the workplace
    • Is AI a job creator or a job destroyer

Round 3:

  • It is a technical HR discussion
  • Most of the questions were asked from the resume (skillset)
  • Some analytical puzzles and hypothetical questions were also asked in the technical HR discussion
  • A system is given to solve the problems in front of HR.
  • For the same problem, different scenarios were given and the candidates were asked to come up with new solutions
  • For a few candidates, questions were asked about computer fundamentals

Round 5:

  • It is a general HR discussion
  • The most commonly asked questions were.
    • Tell me about yourself in two minutes.
    • What is the single word that can describe you the most?
    • Have you ever led your life independently?
    • How will you handle pressure at the workplace?
    • Rate your emotional intelligence on a scale of 10.
    • Are you ready to relocate?
