Oriental College of Technology (OCT) Bhopal Admission Experience

1. I am currently in my second year of B.Tech (Information Technology) at Oriental College of Technology Bhopal, which is affiliated with the state Technological University, Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. I got admission through the DTE counseling process, which is based on the JEE Mains score. I am sharing my admission experience in this article by discussing various points.

Application Process

After completing my 12th-grade board exams, I appeared for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) mains. Now, to enroll in the desired course or program. I need to participate in the counseling process.

For this, I must fill out the DTE counseling form, which is a state counseling process. It should be filled out online and also in college. This involves submitting your exam scores and academic records to the college, indicating your preferred colleges and courses.

Eligibility of the Course

To take admission in Rgpv affiliated colleges for BTech disciples at Oriental College of Technology, it is essential to meet the main eligibility criteria, which is to give the JEE Mains exam. RGPV sets specific criteria for various courses and programs that students must fulfill to proceed with their application process.

My Jee score is about 74.68 percentile and in this range of marks, I am very confident of getting my desired branch.

Choosing Oriental College of Technology was a decision I made after a great deal of research and consideration, taking into account various factors that aligned with my academic interests and career goals. Some of my friends and cousins will be attending that institution, so they will possess knowledge concerning the college.

I chose Oriental College of Technology was its outstanding reputation. Another major factor that influenced my decision was the faculty at Oriental College of Technology. The professors are highly knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields.

The campus itself is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including modern classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, and advanced technology infrastructure.

I believe that attending this college will provide me with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to thrive in the field of technology.

Admission Examination Experience

There is one common examination for the admission in the Oriental College of Technology that one must appeared for the Jee mains. No other mode of examination is allowed.

All about my Counseling process

As I appeared for the Jee mains exam, I am not too much confident of getting admission in any of the NITs and IIITs in India. Now, I changed my mind to take a BTech degree in a reputed college of my city. So, I decided to take admission in the Oriental College of Technology. Some of my relatives and school friends were studying there. I started collecting information about all the education facilities, faculties, and infrastructure from my friends. The main thing of the discussion is placements. What are placements in OCT. After reviewing all the facts thoroughly, I filled the state counseling process called DTE counseling as my Jee result becomes out. I got 72.16 percentile which is good enough to take CSE branch in the OCT Bhopal, but I decide to choose IT branch for my B.Tech. I applied for the counseling process and submitted all the related documents regarding marksheets and Jee scorecard in the college. I got a seat in the very first round of the counseling and I accepted it with my desire.

After accepting the seat, College asks for the payment of initial amount of fees as a seat booking. So, I pay 30% of the total fees for the confirmation of seat allotment.
