Atmiya Institute of Technology and Science Admission Experience

I want to share my Admisison experience with you all, and that was my 1st ever route directed out of my hometown.

I was living in a small village in Bhuj, kachchh, Gujarat. I just passed 12th with 64% in 2007 and wanted to take admission in Engineering. At that time admission process was offline. So we need to check new papers at a time when the admission process is about to begin. There is an Admission Committee for Professional Courses ( ACPC) which gives the date in new papers and all the details like. date of application, last date of application and necessary documents, etc.. So we filed the application in the required format and post it to LD Engineering College. Later on, they will scrutinize the application and generate a merit list and they publish the merit list with the candidate’s name in newspapers. Along with the merit list they provide the list when the candidate needs to go to LD Engineering College and complete his admission process. My % in 12th was very low So my turn was around 3-4 days later. Many of the colleges were full which I shortlisted before only 2-3 remaining.

So my day arrived I went over there with my father, I wanted to took admission to computer engineering. but unfortunately, all the seats were occupied so I did not get admission in computer engineering. So I took admission to electrical engineering as my father is working in PGCVL he insist I to take admission electrical engineering at Atmiya College Rajkot. I started my classes but I think every day ” Kash muje computer engineering me admission miljata”. and God listen and the reshuffling round started. So again I and my father went to LD Engg college, we constantly monitored the screen and right now we are watching the stock market, this college has only 3 seats left and xyz college has 2 seats left for Computer Engineering. Again my luck was to the sword, there is only 1 seat remaining at Atmiya ( I want to take admitted to Atmiya only so we focus only on that college) and one of the candidates blocked that seat when I entered in admission room and ma’am told me to other candidate has occupied this seat and maybe you will get only if he refuses. So I was not allowed to select the Atmiya college seat, wait for 10-15 minutes over there, and due to personal reasons the candidate has refuses that seat so that seat becomes vacant and available for me. I told ma’am to quickly select that seat and confirm for me.

So this way I got admission to Computer Engineering, at Atmiya College and obviously I was last to occupy the seat.
