Eligibility for the BCA Course:

To be eligible for the BCA program at NPGC, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Completion of 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board.
  • A minimum aggregate of 50% marks for General/OBC and 45% for SC/ST candidates in the qualifying examination.
  • Having Mathematics as a compulsory subject in the qualifying examination.
     

Syllabus for BCA Entrance Exam at NPGC:

  • Mathematics: Algebra, Calculus, Probability, Statistics, Matrices, and Determinants.
  • Logical Reasoning: Logical deductions, puzzles, coding-decoding, series completion, and pattern recognition.
  • General Awareness: Current affairs, general knowledge, famous personalities, awards, and honors.
  • Computer Science: Programming languages (C, C++, Java), data structures, algorithms, database management systems, computer networks, and software engineering.
  • Numerical Aptitude: Number systems, fractions, percentages, profit and loss, time and work, speed and distance, and ratio and proportion.
  • English: Vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, sentence formation, and basic writing skills.

Application Process:

The candidates seeking admission to the college must read the prospectus carefully before filling out the application form. Self-attested copies of the following documents must be attached:

  • Pass Certificate and mark sheet of Xth and XIIth or equivalent examinations.
  • Marksheet of the last examination passed.
  • Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution from where the candidate passed his/her last examination as a regular candidate (original certificate shall have to be submitted at the time of counseling).
  • Applicants who passed their last examination as private candidates should submit a Character Certificate from the Superintendent of Police / District Magistrate / Gazetted Officer.
  • Candidates seeking admission to reserved seats must attach an attested copy of the Caste Certificate/CMO Certificate. The original Certificate must be produced during counseling, failing which the candidate shall not be entitled to any reservation benefits.
  • Application forms completed in all respects and copies of required documents will be accepted until the last date.
  • No admission form shall be entertained after the due date.
  • Incomplete application forms shall not be considered for admission.
  • Candidates qualifying in the entrance test must appear with their parents/guardians before the Admission Committee for interview/counseling.

Note:

  • Candidates must submit their Character and Transfer certificates in original at admission.
  • Candidates employed with the state government or in any other establishment should produce No-Objection Certificate from their employer / competent authority for seeking admission in regular courses of the College.
  • Fee-Refund is permissible within Three days from the date of deposit – No Refund is permissible after the expiry of Three days from the date of deposit.
  • No Claim for Fee-Refund shall be entertained from unsuccessful candidates in the semester exams.
