National Institute of Technology,Delhi College Experience

Hello everyone!

I am very happy and excited to share my college experience to date. However, I’m not a professional writer but my excitement drives me to share my experience about college.

I’m a sophomore at National Institute of Technology Delhi. Based on my JEE mains rank, I gained admission to NIT Delhi in 2022 as a Mechanical Engineering student. JEE is a qualifying exam for admission to reputed engineering colleges in India, such as NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, etc.

First-day experience in college

Every newcomer to college felt very happy on their first day, but I was quite nervous because my hometown was miles away from my college, and I had some attachments to home. Deep inside, I was happy that I had gained admission to a reputed college.

As an introverted student, I spoke less with other students and people around me. I used to talk less and enjoyed my own company. However, after some months, I realized that college life is the best time to learn, explore, study, and develop one’s personality.

I started speaking with people and sharing my views and thoughts with them. I am still an introvert, but now I have less fear of speaking with people around me. I mention these things because, for an introverted student, it is quite difficult to adapt to a new environment.

Coding journey

I have learned many things in these two years of my college journey, and I will continue to learn more in the future. I started my coding journey at the end of my first year of college. Although I am a core student, my dedication and interest in coding have led me to learn new things. I have learned coding and development to some extent during these two years. Now my coding score is good in the coding platform.

If I talk about the college environment, it is very friendly. Students can speak and interact without hesitation with professors as well. Yes, some professors are strict, but some are quite approachable.

College life

College life provides many experiences and teaches us numerous things. For example, in the hostel, the mess has fixed opening and closing times for every meal. We should arrive at the mess on time to have our meals and in sports also we have to respect every sports person this teaches us the importance of punctuality. It also teaches us to maintain decorum wherever it is needed.

To date, it has been a nice and learning journey for me, and I have learned a lot in college. In the future, I will continue to learn and explore new things.
