PROCESS OF SELECTION:

Note: HR, MR, and TR can be in any order.

Online Assessment

This round was Non-proctored on Hacker rank test duration was one and a half hours. It has 3 sections (Aptitude, Coding, and Pseudo codes) Aptitude covers all general topics like profit and loss, interests, ratio, and proportion, etc Coding section has 2 Questions (Medium level Questions) Pseudo codes were asked on basics. They can be in c or c++ or Java.

This round has a negative marking

Group Discussion

Each group will have at least 5 to 6 members. The duration of this round is 20min. You will be proctored by any HR.our topic was the EDG role.

Note: They may give you any topic and be aware of the pre-placement talk. Speak confidently. If you have trouble starting the discussion or concluding, don’t panic. Try to speak at least 4 to 5 times in the middle of the discussion by agreeing with your fellow mates.

 HR Round

This round was about 10-15min.

The interviewer asked me to introduce myself and asked me some questions based on my resume. she also asked some general questions like what I do in my free time, and what are my interests and gave me some situations, and asked me how would I respond to them. She has mainly concentrated on the role which they are offering (EDG Role). She asked me various questions about the EDG role and also about the company. Sometimes they may ask you about your first round (Written round) to verify what languages you are good at. Before she ends the interview, I asked her a few questions based on the role and the company and I also asked her to give feedback.

Managerial Round

This round was about 40min Before she started the interview, she asked me whether there is any questions to ask her. I have asked her the question How can we transform from a student to employee? And how is her life going after she joined the MathWorks Company? Then after she asked me to introduce myself. She was so particular about the EDG role and asked me to elaborate on the role and the company. She asked me some general questions like hobbies, skills, and internships. She asked me a few questions on Team leading skills. * She asked me to select the stream in which I want to pursue my career (I chose Cloud computing) and asked me why. She asked me to choose a job location and reason.

 Technical Round 

During the interview, which lasted about one and a half hours, the interviewer started by requesting an introduction from me. He thoroughly examined my resume and inquired about my CGPA, showing particular interest in my achievements and grades. Next, he asked me to elaborate on the projects mentioned in my resume. Moving on, he inquired about my preferred programming language and provided a coding problem on HackerRank, instructing me to explain my approach while solving it. The code presented was of medium difficulty. Additionally, the interviewer posed questions on fundamental object-oriented programming concepts, as well as topics such as compilers, linkers, and interpreters. It was emphasized that a strong foundation in the basics of C was crucial for success in these discussions.

Advice

Build a strong resume. Mention at least 3 projects, 3 technical skills, 2 internships, any certifications, and achievements.

  • Know about the company, its CEO, recent technologies, awards which they have received, products on which they are working on and the role which they are offering.
  • Be good at coding.
  • Make notes on mostly asked coding questions from DSA.
  • Be confident and honest.
  • Maintain your body language and communication skills.

  • Check the top 300 interview questions in your preferred languages.
