Embarking on a Journey to Lovely Professional University

Back in 2021 during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was searching for a college that can give me both: A good academic experience and a dream college life that everyone wants. So I researched and sorted out many universities. But there was one university that was known for its campus life and academics. It was none other than Lovely Professional University (LPU). It is located in Jalandhar, Punjab.

With my heart pounding with excitement, I packed my bags and set off on a journey to LPU. I couldn’t wait to see the university in real life. I took a train from Delhi and reached Phagwara at 11 AM. Then there I was. At the main gate of the university. I got myself a visitor pass and the guard told me to visit the 30th block for admission inquiries. As soon as I entered the university, I was surprised by its beautiful vast campus. No doubt why people appreciate this university for its beautiful campus.

By the time I reached the 30th block, exhaustion had taken its toll on me. The sprawling campus of LPU, spanning over 600+ acres, seemed endless. After that, I entered the admission block. I don’t remember the name of the faculty who guided me through the whole admission process for B. Tech CSE. She told me that I have to give an exam called LPUNEST and based on my performance, I’ll get a scholarship. Then I asked if she can arrange an EV for a campus visit. She then arranged an EV and I visited the whole campus. No doubt the campus was huge and beautiful.

After I reached my home, I scheduled LPUNEST and got a 30% scholarship based on that exam. Then, 1 month later online classes started for the 1 semester. I was a little bit upset as I want to study there in offline mode. But then in November, an announcement came that we have to report in the university in offline mode. I was filled with joy. I reached there and met my online friends in real life. It was a never-forgettable experience.
