I arrived at my college for the on-campus drive of Landis+Gyr, excited for the opportunity to interview for a Graduate Engineer Trainee position. After submitting my resume, I was shortlisted along with around 80 other students for the group discussion round.

Group Discussion:

The group discussion topic was the impact of online learning on education. We had around 30 minutes to discuss and present our views. During the discussion, I tried to be an active participant and shared my views while also listening to others. Some of the other participants also shared their experiences and opinions, which made for an interesting discussion. Out of 80 students, nearly 40 were shortlisted for the technical interview round.

Technical Round:

The technical interview lasted for around 1 hour and covered a range of topics, including DSA problems on backtracking and graphs, CS fundamentals basics, and computer networks. I also talked about my project and internship experiences during the interview.

HR:

After the technical interview, there was an HR round, which was more casual and consisted of basic general managerial questions. I was asked about my strengths, weaknesses, and what I could bring to the company. I was also asked about my long-term career goals and how I planned to achieve them.

After the HR round, the company shortlisted 26 students for the role. Overall, the experience was challenging but rewarding. The group discussion and technical interview allowed me to showcase my knowledge and skills, while the HR round gave me the opportunity to demonstrate my personality and potential fit with the company culture.
