JIIT Noida Admission Experience

Overview

Jaypee is one of the most renowned institutes in India. Its main campus lies at the heart of Noida spread over 15 acres, although Jaypee group have different campuses. This blog will guide you through the various steps involved in securing admission to Jaypee on the basis of my personal experience.

Admission basis

Admissions r done on the basis of 10+2 marks or JEE mains rank. Here, 50% of seats are filled on the basis of 10+2 marks and 50% of seats are filled on the basis of JEE Mains rank. There is no management quota in Jaypee.

Online Application Form

Fill out the application form on their website before the deadline. Deadline is really important, there will be no exceptions considered once the deadline is missed.

Jaypee’s Response

You will receive an email from Jaypee just a week before counselling. The deadline for form and counselling dates would be there on its website. If you have a decent rank in JEE mains or marks in boards, you will receive two emails, one is a generalized email which is sent to everyone and contains all the instructions, and the second one is a personalized email, which will contain your name, and another details like venue, date and time of counselling.

Documents Needed

Do bring a print of a personalized email with all the other documents that are mentioned in the email (10th and 12th original mark sheet and self-attested photocopy, two demand drafts, one of ₹75,000 for admission/fees and one of ₹50,000 for hostel, JEE result card printout if taking admission via JEE Mains) and reach the counselling venue which is their main campus. You can get there by metro as JIIT is in front of  “Noida The Electronic City” metro station.

Counselling System

Jaypee conducts counselling physically, so you need to go to its main campus on a given date and time for counselling. On your arrival, the staff there would check your ID card and give you a booklet in which you will be doing your choice filling. Counselling will be held in the auditorium, where each candidate would be called on the basis of their merit along with their documents and demand drafts. You can see all the seats filled and left of every campus and branch on the big screen present there.

While counselling, first your demand draft would be submitted, if you get any branch from your choice filling an order, you will get your admission letter and also would be automatically added to the waitlist for the branches above in your choice filling the order.

Payment

If you don’t get any branch from your choice filling order, you will be on a pure waitlist. Once you receive the admission letter, and if you withdraw your seat, admission charges (₹50,000) will be deducted and the rest will be returned to you, and if you don’t get the admission letter and you quit the process, you get the full refund.

• Academics: Jaypee is a renowned institute for its academics, it go a variety of subjects to study here along with your main subjects including language.
• Career: Jaypee has a good alumni network and great placement opportunities with the year’s highest placement of ₹1.4Cr and an average of ₹11.5 Lpa.
• Credit System: To get your degree, you need to fulfil the minimum credits. You get credits for most of the things you do here like being active in college societies, hackathons, extracurriculars, internships, projects, and academics (different subjects have different credit scores).
• Student Exchange: Japyee has connections with various universities and colleges abroad including the Georgia Institute of Technology. You can study a semester abroad in these international universities through Jaypee.
• Infrastructure: Japyee has a pretty great infrastructure on all its campuses along with its nice locations. Its Waranghat campus is the most beautiful one, laying on Himachal beauty with a diversity of nature present there.
