Hello geeks, I am from ECE Branch and I have applied for a “System Engineer Role” in Infosys. One of the most reputed IT Firms in India. There were a total of 2 rounds Conducted. In the first round, an exam had questions on Mathematical ability, logical reasoning, verbal reasoning, pseudo code, and puzzle solving. Questions were divided as:
- 10 questions were from mathematical ability,
- 15 questions from logical reasoning,
- 20 questions on verbal reasoning,
- 10 Pseudo code,
- 4 Puzzle solving
The questions in this round were all easy-medium range toughness and the pseudo-code was of basic level. The puzzle-solving was easy but interesting. The result was released after 1 week.
“I thought that the interview would be related to the languages I mentioned in my resume (Core Java, Python) but it turned out to be the complete opposite. I was asked questions completely related to my core subjects. The interviewer was also from my branch he said.
The interview questions that were asked during my interview are as follows:
- Tell me about yourself?
- What is your favourite programming language and why?
- What subject do you like the most in your academics (Core Branch)?
- What is the difference between full-wave vs half-wave vs bridge-rectifier?
- What is negative voltage?
- How do you measure resistance, current, voltage?
- What is meant by peak voltage?
- What is the use of oscilloscope?
- Applications of the subject on which the question were asked (Digital Signal Processing)
- What does gaussian filter do?
- What are affects of noise on system?
I have answered all the questions as I was good at the subject. The interviewer just said: Thank you for the interview and you will receive an email if you get shortlisted. I have received the result in 2 weeks and got selected for system engineer role. So geeks do remember to not only prepare for the languages you mentioned in your resume which might be C/C++/Java/Python but also make sure that you also choose a subject of your core curriculum and prepare topics related to that. Happy Learning and Thanks for the read!
