Number of Rounds: 3 (1 Online Assessment, 2 Technical Interviews)

Online Assessment:

There were approximately 25 multiple-choice questions related to Java, DBMS, and SQL, along with 2 SQL queries (medium level) and 2 coding questions (easy-medium level). The cut-off for this round was almost 100%. Around 50 students were shortlisted from this round.

1st Technical Interview:

This interview lasted around 1 hour where questions covered:

  • Language concepts in Java, C++
  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs)
  • DBMS and SQL
  • 5-6 standard coding questions
  • Internal implementation of data structures.
  • A brief discussion of projects.

I managed to answer about 80% of the questions and was selected for the next round on the same day and around 50% of students were eliminated in this round.

2nd Technical Interview:

This round lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes, and the interviewer made me comfortable within the first 5 minutes. They asked about my confident topics, including DSA, C++, Java, DBMS, SQL, CN, and OS. Questions ranged from basic to advanced on these topics:

  • C++ concepts
  • Oops
  • DBMS
  • SQL (medium to hard level)
  • 6-7 standard coding questions
  • OS (2-3 questions)
  • CN (2-3 questions related to scheduling algorithms)
  • Basic discussion on projects

I was able to answer every question, leaving the interviewer impressed. They concluded by asking if I had any questions, to which I prepared two and received positive feedback. After approximately 20 days, I received the result and found myself on the list of final selected students along with 8 others out of 22 students who had given 2nd round.

Suggestions:

  • Craft your resume meticulously, focusing on points you are confident about as questions will likely revolve around them.
  • Prepare standard DSA questions using practice sheets.
  • Thoroughly prepare core subjects, especially OOPs, DBMS, and SQL.
