IBM Interview Experience for SDE intern

Embarking on the IBM SDE intern interview process for the 2025 batch was indeed an adventure that tested my skills and left me with invaluable lessons. The process consisted of two distinct phases, each presenting its own unique challenges and opportunities for growth.

Part 1

Which I fondly refer to as “The Coding Coliseum,” was a formidable test of my coding prowess. I faced two challenging coding problems sourced from the legendary LeetCode archives. These were no ordinary tasks; they required the finesse and precision of a seasoned coder to conquer. Drawing upon my knowledge of data structures and algorithms, I engaged in a battle of wits, crafting efficient and optimized solutions worthy of a coding ninja.

Part 2

Aptly named “The Technical Thunderdome,” was a fusion of technical expertise and HR acumen. Here, the interviewers unleashed a barrage of questions spanning the vast landscape of computer engineering. From security and database management to networking and software engineering, I navigated through diverse topics with the agility of a cyber-ballerina. Adapting swiftly to each inquiry, I showcased my mental dexterity and depth of understanding across multiple domains.

To prepare for this monumental challenge, I undertook a rigorous regimen of study and practice. Immersing myself in the sacred texts of Geeks for Geeks, I sought enlightenment from every corner of the computer engineering realm. Additionally, I dedicated time to refining my communication skills, particularly in articulating my resume and discussing my projects—an aspect that held significant sway in the interview process.

However, amidst the thrill of the journey, I encountered formidable obstacles, chief among them being the unpredictable nature of the questions. Like a caffeinated kangaroo, the interviewers leaped from one subject to another, keeping me on my toes and challenging my ability to think swiftly and decisively.

Yet, it is through overcoming such challenges that true growth is achieved. The IBM SDE intern interview process not only tested my technical aptitude but also fortified my resolve and sharpened my skills, paving the way for future triumphs in the world of software engineering.
