HTML | DOM Input Month name Property

The Input Month name property in HTML DOM is used to set or return the value of name attribute of a input Month field. The name attribute is required for each input Month field. If the name attribute is not specified in an input field then the data of that field would not be sent at all.

Syntax:

  • It returns the Input Month name property.
    monthObject.name
  • It is used to set the Input Month name property.
    monthObject.name = name

Property Values: It contains a single property value i.e. name which is used to specify the name of the Month field.

Return value: It returns a string value which represent the name of the input Month field.

Example-1: This example returns the Input Month name property.

  • Firefox

  • Safari

Note: In Firefox, the input type=”month” element does not show any date field or calendar.
