How Smart Compose Works in Google Chat

1. This smart compose feature is switched on by default when you go to the setting.

2. If you want to disable the feature, you need to simply follow these steps:

STEP 1: Go to Chat settings.

STEP 2: Switch off “Show suggested replies when available on web and desktop” present under smart compose.

STEP 3: When enabled, it will show suggestions as you write the message and if you like the suggestion, press the “tab” key on your keyboard to accept it.

How to use Smart Compose in Chat for Gmail

STEP 1: Go to Gmail from your desktop.

STEP 2: Click on “Settings” and then press “See all settings”.

STEP 3: After that, click “Chat and Meet” tab and then “Manage chat settings”.

STEP 4: You’ll see “Smart Compose,” tick the box next to “Show suggested replies when available on web and desktop.”
