Introduction:

Achievement for any student and by the god grace I was able to secure an interview for the Senior Process Associate role at Genpact. As a tech enthusiast, I was excited to share my real-life experience with the Geeks for Geeks community about the interview process at Genpact, which included both HR and technical interview rounds.

The Interview Rounds:

At Genpact, the interview process was divided into two separate rounds. The first one was the HR round and the second was the technical round both rounds were taken together for about 20-25 min, each serving a distinct purpose in assessing my qualifications and suitability for the role. The details of these two rounds are discussed below:-

HR Interview Round :

The first stage of my Genpact interview process starts with the HR Round. It was conducted by an HR professional who introduced herslef first and asked me to introudce myself. Her aim was to get to know me better and understand my motivations and career aspirations.

During this phase, we engaged in a conversation that revolved around my resume and my reasons for wanting to join Genpact. Some questions included:

  • Walk me through your resume.
  • What draws you to Genpact?
  • Share your career aspirations.

This phase was a comfortable and insightful conversation that allowed me to convey my educational background, and work experiences, and align my goals with Genpact’s values and objectives. It set a positive tone for the rest of the interview.

The Technical Interview:

Following the HR interview, I transitioned into the technical round, which was conducted by an experienced and diligent technical interviewer. This phase was designed to assess my technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and coding abilities.

* The technical questions spanned various Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) topics, with an emphasis on arrays, stacks, and queues. Some of the technical questions included:

  • Implement a stack using an array.
  • Find the first non-repeating element in an array.
  • Reverse a queue using a stack.

The questions varied in complexity, ranging from basic to intermediate levels of proficiency. The technical interviewer presented intricate problems that tested my algorithmic thinking and coding skills. Throughout the process, the interviewer maintained a friendly and supportive demeanor, fostering a conducive atmosphere for the interview.

Screen Sharing and Real-time Problem Solving:

Towards the end of the technical interview, I was asked to share my screen and tackle a DSA problem in real time. I had to explain my thought process and code implementation. This portion aimed to assess my problem-solving ability under pressure and my coding skills. It provided a practical evaluation of my technical competencies and adaptability to real-world problem-solving scenarios.

Conclusion:

My interview experience at Genpact for the Senior Process Associate role was a comprehensive evaluation of my qualifications and potential contributions to the company. The separate HR and technical rounds provided a well-rounded assessment.
