I was contacted by a recruiter through Linkedin, they shared a job description which was mainly for a Golang developer. The interview was conducted in 3 phases:

  • Face to Face (Past project experience )
  • Technical round ( problem solving and knowlege of Golang)
  • HR round.

The Interview

  • The interview started with a brief introduction from the interviewer. They asked me about my experience with Golang, and what I was looking for in a new role.
  • I then had a chance to ask the interviewer some questions about the company and the role.
  • The next part of the interview was a technical interview. I was asked a series of questions about Golang syntax, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Finally, I was given a coding challenge. I had to write a program that solved a specific problem.

The Results

I was offered the job after the interview. I was happy with the process, and I felt that I was able to demonstrate my skills and experience.

The Takeaway

Preparing for a technical interview can be a daunting task, but it is important to be prepared. Here are a few tips to help you succeed:

  • Practice your technical skills. Go through a list of common interview questions, and make sure you can answer them confidently.
  • Brush up on your algorithms and data structures. These are essential skills for any software engineer.
  • Practice your coding skills. Write programs to solve a variety of problems.
  • Take a mock interview. This can help you identify areas where you need to improve.
