In late March 2023, during the final week, I enrolled in the Flipkart Runway Season 3 designed exclusively for women in the 2025 batch. Approximately 16,990 women from across the country registered for this program. Subsequently, on the 18th of March, an online quiz lasting 30 minutes was administered, consisting of 20 questions. The quiz encompassed questions pertaining to program output prediction, and program error identification, as well as topics such as time complexities and DBMS. Additionally, there were questions regarding Flipkart, including its inaugural office location.

In the initial quiz round, the questions weren’t of extreme difficulty. The main catch was to maintain speed as well as accuracy as there were separate marks for accuracy (correct answer) and speed (time taken to answer). Once the time was over for a question, we were taken to the next question automatically.

After a short period, the official Unstop website released the results, unveiling the selection of the top 180 candidates from the pool of 16,990. To my delight, I found myself among the top 180. Following this, all selected individuals were required to submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP).

The SOP was not a criterion for shortlisting. The SOP had to be concise, and clear and should clearly indicate your introduction, self-motivation, and competence for this internship experience. The program organizers further provided an email with tips for interview preparation, outlining the interview process and structure.

The final stage: Interview process

We have shared an invite for the interview round. There were two interviewers present who greeted me, asked me to introduce myself, and then proceeded with the questions. They opened a Word document with both the questions written on it. We were expected to explain our approach and write it down on the doc itself as we moved forward. One of the questions was based on Sorting and the other one was based on Dynamic Programming. Unfortunately, I couldn’t clear this round but it was a great learning experience.
