Code-Night Work Experience as a Problem Setter

Code-Night, A stealth startup initiated to create a platform for budding coders and competitive coders to work on real world related problems. The idea of the company is a bit contrasting but they do not wanted to fail without trying out. The soul of the company is, it is active only after the sunset and before the sunrise mean works only at night( pretty interesting huh) and moreover the entire platform was been built only in the night. I had joined as a problem setter for 2 months to create, monitor and maintain the problem sets to deploy on the platform. I was highly interested in creating a coding problem and working in the night did not disturbed my other activities. The team of the problem setters were as energetic as me to work on the problem sets and having some late night binges. The company used to held up some interesting activities to increase our energy levels but it is mainly to held us awake.

As I am a problem setter, I used to across various people with out of the box ideologies as this is the quality makes out the problem sets to be interactive and attracts the users to solve them. I would also work on the existing problem sets to maintain the standards greater than existing platforms. The problem setting is not just creating some random questions, it is a way of deep learning and working in every concept.

Key-Responsibilities :

• Creation, Monitoring and Maintenance of problem-sets.
• Work closely with entire problem-testing team.
• Co-ordinate problem setters and testing team.
• Provide insights on platform editor.

Yeah, it is a pretty good work but it had it pros and cons

Pros:

• Remote work.
• Works at night (non-interrupted hours)
• Non intervention with personal goals.
• Like-minded team.
• Amazing goals and visionaries.

Cons:

• Effects health due to less sleep.
• As a startup, need to work independent of the role.
• less growth – requires very long run.
• Incompatible pay.
• Tight deadlines and lots of meetings (startup issues).

So, the visionary of the company is a bit contrast with existing but the company was took down due to legal issues and all the communications, work mails everything went down, but it improved me in logical thinking, communications, team-management, product-insights and many more but very sad to lose a good team.
