I am placed in Capgemini through on-campus placements. I would like to share my interview experience with Capgemini. The recruitment process consists of 4 rounds. Let’s discuss them in detail.

  • Round 1: Aptitude (Verbal Ability + Technical + Game based Aptitude)
  • Round 2: English Fluency
  • Round 3: Coding
  • Round 4: Technical + HR

Round 1: Aptitude (Verbal Ability + Technical + Game based Aptitude)

This round is divided into three sections – Verbal Ability, Technical, and Game-based Aptitude. Each section in this round is an elimination section. First, you will be given 20 Verbal Ability Questions on topics such as Sentence Correction, Spotting Errors, Sentence Formation, Synonyms, Antonyms, etc. If you don’t clear this section then you will not be able to attempt the next sections and your recruitment process will end here.

If you clear this section then you will go to the next section which is Technical. This section will consist of 40 Technical MCQ-based questions on various Technical topics such as Operating Systems, DBMS, Cloud Computing, and also some Code Snippets where you have to predict the output of the given code. Make sure you are also well prepared with the topic Recursion. I had maximum questions based on Recursion during my test. This is also an elimination round.

If you clear the Technical section you will go to the last and the most interesting section of Round 1 which is the Game Based Aptitude. Capgemini has changed its hiring pattern and has introduced the new Game based Aptitude which contains Aptitude based games to be played. The games which are asked are as follows

  • Deductive Logical Thinking( GeoSudo Challenge): In this game, we have to find a missing symbol in a 4×4 or a 5×5 grid based on Geometrical Sudoku.
  • Inductive Logical Thinking: These are visual-based questions where we have to find a pair of figures which follow a similar pattern to the pair of figures given in the question.
  • Grid Challenge: In this game, we have two grids that are identical. Here our ability to focus and multi-tasking is tested
  • Motion Challenge: This game has puzzles where we have to find a path between two points in fewer steps as possible. Here our ability to plan ahead is measured.

While playing these games our speed and accuracy both matter. At each level of these games, the difficulty level will go on increasing.

If you clear this section your Round 1 will be cleared and you will receive their mail for the next round.

Round 2: English Fluency

In this round, they test our pronunciation, speaking skills, reading skills, etc. It is a 20 mins round. Also, this is a non-elimination round.

Round 3: Coding

The coding round basically consists of 2 Questions of medium difficulty level. The time allotted for this round is 40 mins. I had one question based on Strings and one question based on Arrays. For clearing this round your code must pass the visible and the hidden test cases.

Make sure you are well versed with the data structures and algorithms as they require a solution with minimum space and time complexity. After 2 to 3 days results came out and I found that I had cleared this round.

Round 4: Technical + HR:

This round lasted for about 20 to 25 mins. I was asked the following questions by the interviewer:

  • Technical Questions:
  1. Introduce yourself
  2. Which languages do you know
  3. Explain your diploma last year’s project (Since I am a diploma student I was asked about my diploma last year’s project)
  4. What was your role in the project?
  5. What are the types of joins in SQL?
  6. Which are the 4 pillars of OOP?
  • HR Questions:
  1. Why do you want to work with Capgemini?
  2. What 7 values does Capgemini’s logo signify?
  3. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  4. Do you have any questions for us? ( Here you can ask questions about their work culture or what they expect from us as freshers)

While going for this round make sure to read about Capgemini, the significance of their logo, and their values and ethics.

After a week the result was declared and I was selected for the Analyst Position.

Let me also tell you about the different packages that they offered us. They offered us three packages as follows:

The package we got was based on our performance in the Coding round. So make sure you perform well in the Coding Round to get a good package. I was selected for the 5.75 package for the role of Analyst.

I hope this helps you in your placements. All the best!!
