Bristlecone Interview Experience For Java Developer

Hi Everyone,

I passed out from CDAC Noida with a domain Diploma in advanced computing. Recently, I went through the interview process for Bristlecone company which includes in total of four rounds and the role was Java developer.

The first round includes Aptitude and reasoning questions (online):

In total, they asked around 50 questions for 1 hour. It includes questions related to time and work, cost and Selling price, Distance traveled, ratios and proportions, numbers, logical reasoning, profit and loss, and Blood relations.

The second round was Group discussion(online):

So we were 6 students in total in a group all had to join the meeting on the Google Meet platform. They will give you any particular topic mostly related to current affairs our topic was Child labor. Each one has to speak some valid points regarding the topic with some conclusion. The overall time scheduled for this meeting was 15-20 minutes.

Each student has to talk for at least 2 minutes.

Tips: Always try to initiate first this will increase your shortlisting criteria.

The third round was Technical:

In the technical round, they mostly focused on DSA questions. I was asked two DSA questions one related to Arraylist(In given integer list 1,13,15,7,9,12 find the elements starting with digit one) and the second related to the linked list (How we can reverse a singly linked list). Also, they are more focused on the Collection framework in Java like hashmap and map-related hierarchy and how to traverse in map. Also, I was asked to demonstrate Java 8 features like Functional Interface, lambda expression, and Stream API. The time for a technical interview depends on your performance.

HR round:

I was not able to clear the technical round but my friend got selected. So he told me about the questions asked. They start your interview by asking an introduction and then some situational questions and They have asked Database queries in the HR round.

So I cleared the first two rounds and didn’t clear the technical round although the linked list question was easy. I wasn’t able to answer that, and it was my second interview in my life. So, the experience was nice, and got to know the level of DSA questions asked for freshers.
